This hotel is suppose to be 4 stars but definately only just makes 3 stars. Everything is old and dated. Hence, cleanliness is not good. Many items are either not there or not working. Staff is not particular friendly but not offensive either. A very impersonal hotel. The location is OK if you have a car. Otherwise, it is a bit out of the way. The hotel is OK if you are paying for a 3 stars hotel.

Great location but the old furniture and facility

Overall are good. Only the facility like toilet bathtubs and sofa abit old. Might to upgrade. From car park to lobby need to walk 5-8mins. No direct lift to lobby quite problem if we carry big luggage.. No toothbrush provided.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Need to bring own toothbrush and toothpaste when visit.

We think this hotel still look elegant even though it has been there for a very long time. The whole building giving a grand feeling and the staffs were very nice. Surrounding environment was great with excellent sea view. Staffs are all very helpful. The room is spacious and nice balcony with excellent Penang sea view. However, the hotel was too old. We will like to suggest refurbishing the room since the location was excellent.

location was great and there shuttle service to freinghi and to georgetown. the staff were very helpful and friendly..easy access to public transportation and near by shops
Restaurant Tip:
there is a good indian restaurant opposite the hotel.. good food at decent price.

A Budget 4 Star Hotel

I was late checked-in and the receiptionist was very friendly and manage to fulfill my request upon checked-in. The only thing not convinence is they do not have wireless/wifi in the room. You need to go to 7th floor for online surf net. But overall is fine and will recommended to all of you..
Nightlife Tip:
There is a new place call Straits Quay ,behind of Tesco @ Tanjung Bunga and would like to recommend to all Branded shoppers and Drinkers..

The place was in a very good central location. No fuss if all you need is a place to sleep and spend most of your time sightseeing and/or shopping. After all, what you really want at the end of the day is a good, clean place to come back and sleep and not pay for any extras that you do not use.
