Clean room with nice view from the balcony
Great location with the view to the sea from balcony.

staff are kind and helpful. the room are pretty comfort and wide enough for family stays.

Great Swimming pool but lousy room facility

The location of the Hotel is in the north of Penang island, although is near the sea side but no beach in front of the Hotel, the room's facility are old enough and almost half spoiled, and the carpet are full of smell, kids are easy to cause asthma when sleep at night, it is very uncomfortable for the pillows that are flat. No network and Wifi in the room only in the swimming pool area.

Beautiful and very lovely beach scenary
Nice swimming pool and very pleasant receptions staff but for the TV cable should have starsport channel too

my stay was good as my family enjoyed the beautiful scenaries of the hotel beaches and the facilities.car park is the problem if there's functions at the restaurant. hotel guest need to search for parking lot as most of the parking lots was taken up by the restaurant guests.i need to drive down to watch live football match in straights quay as the hotel does not have starsport channel inhouse.if this can be improve definitely i will stay again in the near future.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile

warm smiles at the check in counter. we were greated with huge rooms with the sea view to die for. a great place to relax, forget about your stress, time and business. just flow with the beach which is wonderful and later continue with the sun at the pool side. just opposite the hotel, a local food court is avalaible and for foreigner, there is german food, wine shop and other choice. a short drive or arrange with the hotel to go to gurney drive for the varieties of local food which wets all appetites.

It's fine but staff is unhelpful

from the moment i arrived, the porter who helped me, jevan, was incredibly warm and went out of his way to check on me whenever he passed by me.
that's fortunate, because he was the only warm person working there. the poolside bar staff were rarely present, despite that the hotel was fully booked and full of families celebrating chinese new year. the one time i was able to get a drink there, the kid working the bar couldn't make more than the handful of simple mixed drinks offered on the menu.
again, jevan is amazing. i was only there one night, chinese new year's eve, so things were hectic. my room was clean, and though they charge room internet on the same "per minute" charge as phone calls, the wifi at the pool was acceptably stable and speedy.

Pleasant hotel with a great beach
Easy access to beach, far from hustle and bustle of Penang City

We found out about this site from a friend and decided to ncheck it out. It's been a while since we went to Penang, so we're not sure of the rates. Surprisingly, Agoda provided us with a lot of info, and we decided on Copthorne.
The hotel was very lovely, there was feeling of nostalgic to it. The downside you had to walk up to the lobby from the carpark. No biggie! The frontdesk staff was very courteous and warm. They actually smiled when we presented the Agoda confirmation slip. We checked into the room and found it very comfortable. It was cool, fairly large and has all the basic amenities.
My wife loves the beach...and the hotel's easy access to it was a bonus. I managed to conduct a few simple business meetings at the lobby area. My clients had an easy task of finding the place. We had a great time....and definitely be back to try other Agoda's recommendations.

4 Start Hotel with 3 star facility
Good for one night stay with price

Welcome was not so well at reception. There was no lift from underground car park to lobby. Room was ok for one night.

Great location but less facilities

Great place to stay but I need to get swimming suit for my children since they e arnot allowed to swim with their normal clothes compared to the other hotel which is more flexible.

lovely room
the private beach and quiet serroundings

when we arrive there were no one greet us, no bell boy, it was abit surprise. i think it was non peak season, the hotel was too quiet.
