Charming hotel staff who are available only during the day. At nite u r pretty much left to ur own devices. Rooms are so-so. Furniture not so well maintained. Both my bedside lamps were not working. And the only night lamp in the room was kaput and simply placed on table with stripped wire hanging. Mattress old and poor quality - hard and uncomfortable. Toilet is pretty awesome tho - huge balcony area converted with big step in bath. For the price that you pay you would really expect a lot of these things to not be the case as they can be rectified with little cost and some commitment.

Couples Malaysia, January 27, 2013	Lovely heritage boutique bed & breakfast vintage peranakan interior, bathroom and super friendly host. 7.7 I absolutely love this bnb. its so cosy and has a vintage feel to it. it may not be a 5 star accommodation, but worth the money. its a small romantic getaway especially for younger couple. i totally heart the bathroom. good job on the custom made tub and the whole outdoor feel to it. although jus a small warning, there is mosquitoes in the bathroom after sunset but what do u expect? its an outdoor bathroom (covered with blinds of coz). and also would not really recommend to the elderly as you need to club a flight steps of stair unless u get the lower ground room. apart from that everything was great. the host kevin is a really sweet and helpful guy. he'll do his best to answer and help you out. although be warned that the reception closed at 5.30 so make sure you can get his mobile number. everything works perfectly in the room such as aircon, television, cable and theres wifi. would return again! great job kevin, keep it up. bless u. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: make sure you go to the buddha temple, penang hill and gurney drive. its a must. one more importnt tip, try to have a gps is your driving (since ur not frm penang). roads can b a lil confusing and most of it r one-way.

Was checked in by friendly and informative receptionist. 'Hotel' is formerly converted house and living room was converted bedroom with bed by the front door. Bedroom was badly lit with no lights in toilet or bathroom. Only sink area was well lit up. No beverage making facilities in bedroom and kitchen was out the front door round the corner. Luckily it didn't rain! Didn't use kitchen facility. Shower cubicle got flooded as trap was blocked. Complaint was seen to and fixed after second flooding. Cleaning not very well done. Air conditioner was not efficient and fan had to be on as well. Noisy main road outside room. 'Hotel' did not have any sports or recreational, health or business facilities. Definitely not for romantic or honeymoon purposes.
