It was a great and memorable stay. We really enjoyed it. The fruits and tarts provided in the room were fresh and tasty. I was surprised to find 'sarung' inside the wardrobe. They are just nice to wear to the pool and garden. The other surprise was to find cakes on the table when we were back to the room after dinner. It was greeting from the hotel to us for our weeding anniversary. Thank you!!

Amazing stay at the E&O. A historical gem!

Upon check-in, we were upgraded to the presidential suite from the deluxe suite that we had booked. The suite was twice the size of our home, with 5 bathrooms, an amazing double shower, a great room, a dinning room that seated 20, and a comfortable bed. We had our 20 month old son with us, and it was wonderful to have the extra space for him to run and sleep and play. The staff were amazing, friendly, and provided spectacular service. Regardless of the upgrade, there isn't a bad suite in this hotel (all the rooms are suites), and every suite has butler service - spectacular! The breakfast buffet included was delicious and featured a wide variety of eastern and western breakfast. The hotel is located near many historical buildings and places of worship. It is also located near some of the best street food in all of Malaysia. You must make dinning an adventure in Penang! This hotel was amazing and we would stay again and again, if given the opportunity!

Gorgeous location and nice hotel!!
The room is very spacious, with large bathroom and balcony facing the sea. The swimming pool on the 6th floor has an unforgettable view!!!

staff at reception gave us great restaurant recommendations (NB Kabaya at the Seven Terraces Hotel), There are two pools, both are fabulous. I used also the gym, which has good seaview, A/C, spacious and good equipment. Executive lounge on 6th floor was very nice - snacks and drinks from 5 to 7pm.

I enjoyed the hotel's warm relaxing ambience created by it's rich history, clean and cosy room and uncluttered gardens looking on to the calm sea beyond, on top of superb staff service. I couldn't ask for more.
