My stay at Eastin Hotel Penang is great. The hoetl is just a distance from the faouse shopping mall, Quensbay Mall. It also has an eazy access to the airport.

Overrated, overpriced, small rooms

This hotel has a great fitness room and pool and great wifi in the rooms but that is the only good about it. It is overpriced for what it offers and attitude is snobbish. Rooms are very small and we didn't get the overpriced breakfast which didn't come with our room. Housekeeping was terrible- hardly do it. Carpets filthy.

It was good and pleasant stay. This is my second visit but the ocean view is so relaxing. Good quality bed plus good lighting in the room that make the environment comfortable and nice. Besides, easy access to the shopping mall which is very convenient for the guest. The only suggestion is to install some lighting along the way as currently is too dark at night.

The hotel was the best choice for us as we were using the airport. We found the reception staff very unwelcoming both times we stayed at the hotel.on the second the receptionist was so miserable that it seemed she had suffered some personal tradegy.There was very little eye contact and no information given of any kind. It would be helpful if reception staff told guests about needing to use the room cards to operate the lifts and there is no information about the gym or swimming pool. I was ignored at reception on two occasions and this treatment was in contrast to the door and concierge who were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is quite comfortable and it is easy to walk to the huge shopping mall,but the first impressions given by reception let this hotel down. also the wifi is not up to scratch for a business hotel and my connection was terminated before I checked out.

Cons; required to extend check out time by half day due to flight delay. Found the 1/2 charges very expensive (almost equivalent to 1 night's stay)
