Courteous Service with a Smile
Polite and courteous staff.

The staff are very polite and couteous. I can feel the warmth and friendly attitude the minute the doorman opens the door of my taxi.
This is not my first stay at Laurel Evergreen, however I have the same feeling and experience in all my previous visits too.

The hotel is ok even though it looked aged and tired. The sea view was nice and i enjoyed it. Hotel guests can enjoy easy access to all that Gurney Drive has to offer. This modern hotel is in the vicinity of popular city attractions such as Wat Chayamangkalaram, Sleeping Buddha Temple, Wat Chaiya Mangkalaram Temple. The room is ok, comfortable bedding and furniture, free coffee and tea making facilities.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Wat Chayamangkalaram is a Thai Buddhist temple built in 1845 on land granted by Queen Victoria as a gesture of goodwill to Thailand. The temple has one of the largest Reclining Buddha statues in the world. This Buddhist temple houses a 33-metre long reclining Buddha draped in a gold-leaved saffron robe. You can also appreciate the magnificent craftsmanship in the exquisite statues of Devas and other mythical creatures located on the temple grounds.

Overall happy but felt short-changed

I paid a high price for this room type (3 rooms) despite having choice of cheaper prices for similar room thinking that if i requested for a sea-view room, it would be granted. No... that was not the case when I checked-in and the front office staff was even ridiculous in wanting to allocate each of our rooms in different floors. Overall, beside this episode, the rooms were ok and acceptable, definitely NOT fro the amount I paid !

Not 5 star but great location
Great location fronting Gurney Drive

For the amount paid via Agoda, I would have been better off at G-Hotel. Evergreen Laurel Hotel is definitely NOT 5-star, but about 3-4 star rating. Its location is great fronting the famous Gurney Drive, nearby plenty of food and beverage outlets & nite life activities. The rooms are kind of tired, but comfortable enough for sleeping. Free coffee & tea making faiclities with 2 bottles of water on the house. Did not bother to try the restaurants as there are plenty of local fare restaurants outside the hotel to enjoy.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Always look at other options for value for money deals if looking for Hotels within the same locality.

The location is great as it is located in Gurney Drive and plenty of food and beverage outlets along the road. Room was ok, nothing spectacular but the good thing is the hotel is clean and comfortable. The room came with Internet connection via LAN connection. Hotel concierge was great but room service needs to be faster with in-room orders.
Nightlife Tip:
Enjoy a nice walk along the Gurney Drive at night as it is full of life.

Been staying here upteem times already , though is quite an old hotel , but well kept and well located in Gurey Drive with many shopping and eating places , will never get bored as you can just walked out to get drinks to enjoy the seabreeze . Swimming pool is rather small for a 5 star hotel like this , perhaps should make it more bigger . Anyway , still a good hotel with nice lobby and cafeteria , cosy to have breakfats there .
