Great location but not to a 5 star expectation

Hotel location is great. walking distance to Gurney plaza and enjoying sea breeze while walking.
room was alright but no king size bed as my request earlier. facilities were up to 4 star standard for example no individual shower space (which most of the 5 star have).
Overall I will say it is up to my expectation for the money i paid and I never expect i can get a fine 5 star hotel with this kind of money and location. I suggest the hotel to adjust their star rating, it might cause misleading to those expect to stay in the G hotel kind of 5 star hotel.

Great hotel staff
Close to restaurants n bars

I had a great stay at the hotel.The staff was always very approachable and professional with dealing my needs.The maintenance on the aircond needs to be fixed.I had a room with it not being cold enough.Rachael the duty manager sorted me with a new room.
Restaurant Tip:
Great resraurants close by.Go to optifix bar cafe.

lovely hotel with big rooms
room is spacious, clean, big bathroom and great view facing the sea

Check in and out was fast and efficient, staff was friendly and accomodating but the in-house band playing that week was horrible!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
dont waste time on the TOY Museum, entrance of RM10 for local and RM20 for tourist is not even worth the money!

We had stayed so many times in evergreen hotel.
Great location and achievable price are the best reason why we choose this hotel.
We liked the sea view room. My little son like seeing the birds flying from one tree to another. It's very relaxing.

Very comfortable stay, clean and quite environment. However, the housekeeping staffs tend to knock your door and ask for housekeeping at 9am (which you are probably still sleeping), that was one of the expereience was not really happy with. And they will knock your door everyday to do a pantry check on their fridge, which was rather disturbing.

Cosy hotel on Gurney Drive with reasonable rates

Just delighted to have eateries just outside the hotel. Night market with all kinds of Penang food is just at the end of the road. Distance is just right for a stroll back to hotel after dinner at the market.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Walking distance to famous G Plaza when famous brands under 1 roof. If you're looking for local Penang life, you may walk 15-mins to Pasar Tikus for local breakfast + others. Thai + Burmese temples are just 5-mins away too.

Satisfactory, convenient but not outstanding
Ideal location on Gurney Drive, close to bars and restaurants. Room was pleasant, but not excellent.

the room was comfortable and clean. nice view over the water. excellent bathroom. overall reasonable value. convenient parking underneath and walking distance to eateries and bars. as a frequent traveller i really value the importance of a good breakfast with a reange of hot food that is kept warm and replenished regularly, as well as healthy choices. the breakfast fare is one area that could really be improved at this hotel. as a consequence we chose not to try the evening buffets, so a good breakfast may encourage more people to dine there at other times too. to encourage more people to use the lobby bar, a more liberal happy hour offering would no doubt help as the pubby atmosphere makes it an ok place to hang out and chill. the drinks bill ended up being pretty expensive for very average wine for example.
Nightlife Tip:
Hotel is very close to Over Time, a cool outdoor bar with great staff, just a 100 metres up the road
