My review of the hotel stay was nice, and all
what was confirmed while I was booking for the old period was nice as well. But this time hope you refer to all the services and reorgnize your papers, the services, responses, understanding and creating a comfortable weather for the guest. Unfortunately, I
was not happy for the room and the services.
I spent uncomfortable time in this trip due to bad selection for the room, no good view the services not satisfactory, etc. in spite of what I know of the beautiful services in my last vacation. Hope you
reorgnize what is wrong??
The room was not as I was expected. I was back to the hotel because my first visit was fantastic. Bad services, no response for my complaining on time, slow in coverage orders etc.
As one of your clients, please give full attention to your clients and keep your hotel in the best levels.

I was expecting the hotel to be a typical Taiwanese run hotel as I have experienced in Taiwan. I was pleasantly surprised from the lobby to the room. Everything was great. Check-in service was good, Concierge was really helpful, bar staff were exceedingly friendly to the point of jovial. The breakfast buffet could not be faulted offering the range from Malaysian, European to Japanese and all of agreeable quality.
I still have places to explore in Penang and will return again in the future. I will most definitely consider staying at the EverGreen Laurel Hotel again. Excellent value for money.
Great location along the ocean overlooking the mainland.
If I were to think of any negative, it would be the turn down service in the evening. It was too early, usually around 5.30.
- Restaurant Tip : Just around the corner from the hotel, underneath the Gurney Hotel is an excellent Malaysian Restaurant, well I guess mainly Indian food. But food quality, price and friendly staff were great selling points.
very comfortable room

This is a very nice hotel. We were allowed an early check in. There is a beach across the road but it is not for swimming. It is about RM15 to get to georgetown by taxi, or a 30 min walk. I found the taxi prices more expensive than in KL. You can walk up to Gurney Drive hawker centre for great food (there is also a flash shopping centre there). There are two beautiful buddhist temples a couple of streets behind the hotel (forgot the names). The staff were helpful and the room was very nice.
close to Gurney rd Hawker centre
Beach quite dirty
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the bus to Ferringhi if you want to go swimming (takes about 30 min)

Basic hotel facing the sea but no beaches. Walking distance to hawkers' fare. Hotel is basic and clean Exception is if you enjoy tennis, they have two courts which is fab except that the kitchen chimney is located there: so smell of food while you are burning calories.
Tennis courts.
Restaurants - choices of food limited and quality need greatly to be improved.

Our first visit to Penang and staying at the Evergreen Laurel made it even better. Excellent hotel. Location is great and the room was sensational . We had a sea view room but the other rooms facing intowards the island were excellent as well .The room facilities were great and everything that could have been required was provided.
Would definately stay there again.
excellent room facilities, excellent staff
there are no complaints
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : a visit to the Penang Botanical Gardens is a must especially if you are interested in tropical gardens
