we had a lovely stay at the hotel for my friend's birthday. we were upgraded to an executive room which was huge. the staff were excellent and location right next to a shopping centre is fantastic.

g hotel is located at the best place is penang. it is just right in front of the sea. bautiful seaview rooms, food in g hotel is quite good. i have done events in g hotel, the ballroom is great.
hwever, i am extremely dissatisfied with their front counter service. their satffs is super slow in doing check in and check ouy. sme cant even understand simple english.
it is always very expensive to stay in g hotel. with the rates that they charge, u probably expect a nice room? it is seriously nothing luxurious!! their lounge is the worst that i have ever experienced for a five star hotel. its crampy and crowded.
Shopping Tip:
Theres a mall next to the hotel with lots of F&b around as well.
Gurney drive is also around the corner.....

Situated along Gurney Drive, it takes about 40mins (or more depending on traffic) to travel by car from Penang International Airport to the hotel.
Gurney Plaza is situated just next to the hotel (about 1 min walk or less!) and the famous hawker food street is only about 5 minutes walk away.
Taxis are readily available outside the hotel so that makes travelling very convenient. A cab ride to town area cost about RM15.
All items in the minibar are complimentary (including the 6 can drinks and 1 kitkat bar in the minifridge) and there is complimentary wifi too! Toiletries provided include toothbrush, shaver, cotton pad, cotton bud, shampoo, body foam, hand soap, body lotion and shower cap. Hair dryer is also available.
Remember to ask for their yummy welcome ice-cream during check-in!
Restaurant Tip:
Do visit Miraku (the Jap restaurant located in the hotel, Level 1). Yummy and fresh jap food.

excellent hotel with great atmosphere

It was a wonderful hotel. It is very spacious and all the things we needed for outstation work is there. it is very relaxing at night as it faces the sea. there is a special space for work and i like the idea of having free junks to help us stay awake for meeting and work at night or to relax and watch TV with some drinks.
Shopping Tip:
it is just beside gurney shopping mall and also gurney drive which has alot of delicious local foods. a place worth to stay.

Convenient and a huge shopping mall is just beside. The beds are super huge, three of us slept very comfortably on the bed and there are still extra room to flip. Remember to request for seaview rooms. The breakfast was a little disappointing though even the cooked food are cold.

The service is good. The room is very clean and spaces too. Facilities like the swimming pool and gym were well maintained.

Gurney Plaza is just next door and another new mall, Parogon is coming up soon! :)
