Excellent Hotel @Reasonable Price
Massive double beds, free mini-bar, free wireless in rooms+ public areas

my girlfriend and i had an enjoyable/comfortable stay here. everything you would expect from a 5* hotel although the service at the desk could have been faster and perhaps with more of a smile. upon arrival we were given complimemtary ice-creams which we ate while we were told bags would be sent up. half am hour later we got to the room and nothing's there! quick call down to the lobby and they appeared 5minutes later so no great shakes.
bathroom was clean, shower head big and decent pressure. no bath but not too bothered by that. aweful view but if you pay the cheapest room i guess that's what you get.
booked via agoda and paid a touch less than 100€ a night all-in.
location of hotel is quite far from g'town so be prepared to pay for taxis to and fro (15ringit)
Hotel Feature Tip:
Free bikes/prams available from hotel reception. We rented a scooter in two for the two days but if not, bikes could've been an option.

Great hotel but service not fantastic

i had booked 4 rooms for 5 persons but was given
4 twin bed rooms (claimed that i booked that type but
expected that they should use their initiative and give us
room with king bed)
was glad that the guest relation manager assisted to
make arrangement to convert the bed to king sized for
2 rooms and upgraded 2 rooms. room allocation was quick
but unfortunately they did not bother to register the
occupants of each room. that ended up all the guests
took after my surname being 'teo' creating inconveniences
when they have guests visiting and calling them. also each
time when they call the reception, the receptionist will address
them 'mr teo' iregardless of who.
otherwise the rooms are well equipped and comfortable.
Hotel Feature Tip:
There is a clothes line in the bathroom where the shower cubicle is which is
not quite noticeable but very useful to dry undergarments.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this modern clean hotel with excellent pool facilities. we will stay again next year, highly recommended as one of the best if not the best hotel in penang
Travel tip:
Try the many different restaurants and the close by night markets. Also the new marina close by worth a visit with great restaurants and coffee shops on the boardwalk.

overall - above average. otherwise we won't be repeat occupants in the hotel. would have wished the hotel management recognizes that though by acknowledging that via food voucher or free breakfast.
service took some time to arrive at the g cafe during lunch on tuesday, 22 nov.
there was a missing mouse on one of the computer in g surf. it showed a "don't care" attitute as a computer mouse is cheap and easily available.
Shopping Tip:
explore the nearby Gurney Plaza for shopping for brands ranging from Rolex, Coach to factory outlet types. Try the chinese restaurant-Xuan Xin in Gurney Plaza-not too bad.

Great hotel, Great location

from reviews we read, many travellers recommend this hotel.
so, on the second day our visit in penang, we booked a standard room in g hotel. we weren't wrong to stay in g hotel!
the hotel was new, you can see the sea in front of the hotel. the hotel lobby was large with modern interior design.
the reception staff welcome us with two flavoured ice cream upon check-in.
the room and the bathroom was big and clean. free internet in room and free mini bar.
the hotel located next to the famous gurney drive hawker center where local food is, just 2 minutes walking distance from the hotel.
and also next to gurney mall, which provided great shopping.
we just stayed for one night, so we didn't have enough time to try hotel facilities, such as swimming pool and gym.
overall, we love to stay here and surely will stay here for next visit in penang!

we stayed here for 2 nights. everything from the time we stepped down the car to checking out, service was good. its a clean, modern and classy hotel, with simple yet up to date interior. just a one minute walk to the gurney plaza, a big shopping complex. not much to expect from the view since it is not a beach hotel. no comment on the buffet breakfast as we has breakfast somewhere else. overall it was a great stay. we would definitely come back.

the hotel and its rooms were clean and spacious. the design was simple but stylish. one should get a room with sea view. the price for food in restaurants and drinks at the g-spot bar were very reasonable and the environment was good. the hotel was just next to the gurney plaza shopping centre and the gurney drive night food stalls. the hotel staffs were very helpful and friendly. nice experience!

nice hotel, big room, good hotel personnel service . hotel location is center to everything- near city center, hawker center , beach @ batu ferringi. hotel's decor is very up to date, chic and nect to a shopping mall . reception area very unique and shaped like a bar counter and very spacious. particularly like the small gesture like providing cups of ice cream for customer checking in... my children just enjoy it... i book for a standard room and somehow they upgraded it to a executive room
