Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.
We want you to pay the lowest possible rate for your room. If you have reserved a hotel room through Agoda, and then show us that you could book the same room, for the same dates, at a lower rate, that is viewable and bookable on another website, within 48 hours of booking your room with us, we will either match that rate or beat it. helpful, courteous, efficient and professional staff, clean and big rooms, spacious lobby, free wi-fi Internet access in the rooms, cafe across the road [with delivery]
towels and linens a bit old [although they're clean], hotel is at the periphery of Georgetown so there's a bit of a walk to the popular streets
All in all, my stay at Hotel Mingood was very pleasant. Simple breakfast fare of unlimited toast, butter, jam, peanut butter, syrup, marmite, fresh grapefruit and oranges, fruit juices, muesli and cereals and coffee and tea. Two fried eggs cost 3 ringgit and you have to pay at the restaurant (no room charge). Thanks to the lady at the reception [Emren, not sure if it's the right spelling] for her help and assistance. Also to Ms Yong [the lady that cleaned my room] for brief chats in the corridor. They made me feel, a solo traveler, quite at home. The room is big and very basic and needed new linens and towels but they're clean and are changed daily. There's no remote control for the airconditioning though. I like the rooftop breakfast area where you have a choice of either staying indoors or outside under the sun. And yes, I love the fact that they have such spacious fire exits and stairways.
Travel tip : A cafe is just right across the street and they serve western meals; the pasta meals are good. They also deliver to the rooms and are open until 11 p.m. I think. There are other stalls nearby for more selection of cuisines. The nearest convenience store is a couple of blocks down [a bit of a walk] - 7-11 and a local pharmacy. It's a 15-minute walk or so to the Komtar complex. Wi-fi is also free at the lobby. There are 5 computer monitors at the lobby for guests to use. The hotel can also call a taxi for you.

decent location on a main street, walking distance to most places of interest
not enough electrical outlets, poor breakfast, staff hardly willing to help, bathroom dirty, Aircon only had "on" or "off" and could not control tempurature.
I checked in, and the woman at the desk was friendly, but tried to push me to buy tours and bus tickets through her. Once in my room I found the bathroom to be dirty, and even had someones bikini still hanging up on the curtain rod. The Airconditioning unit only had and on/off button, and you could not control the tempurature. I found myself either too cold or too hot during the night. The blankets were thin, and had been well used as I saw my sheets had patches on them where there used to be holes.
There were only 2 electrical outlets in the room, and the one beside the bed was broken and did not work, the other was across the room so I couldn't have my cell phone with alarm clock beside my bed charging. Very inconvenient for me.
The only good thing was that the hotel is within walking distance of everything (unless you are lazy haha). Little India was a great place to walk through, and Chinatown as well.
