terrible room with still keep old renovation
insufficient light in the room and bathroom. Like staying in a ghost house.
This hotel not kind in upgrading their room renovation. It's seem like no renovation since first day operate this hotel in 70's.....everything are old except the LCD TV..... Insufficient lights in the room and bathroom. Terrible feeling when stay alone, all look so deem especially when i was in the bathroom.....terrible till the max!

A Quiet, Relaxed and Clean Hotel Close to the Core
Quietness, Knowledgeable Staff, and the Proximity to the Core
If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed and clean hotel close to the core of Georgetown, this is a good choice. It's inexpensive as well, with a free basic breakfast in the morning. The staff are helpful, and the owner of the hotel has a Visa service, so for a small fee you can have that done for you. I had an enjoyable three days there. The room also had a bathtub, which was a nice bonus.

Great location and good value for money
location/value/car parking
This was our second time at Mingood within a week ! Good value, large rooms (dated but that is not a problem). We wanted to be near shops bars etc and have a car park but also be about 20 minutes from the airport. It met our needs and also to be such good value. The hotel even has a well stocked fridge at reception for soft drinks and waters so no need to carry heavy bags back from the shops !

nice hotel - good value

The rooms are very comfortable - nice bed, couch, good tv. The bathroom has a bath. The breakfast consists of cereal, fruit, coffee/tea, juice and toast with Marmite - worth the room cost on its own! Not the first time we've stayed here and won't be the last.

A quiet location but close enough to walk to Little India and the shopping malls. A very comfortable bed, and a couch in the room. There is a bath too. This was our second stay here!

Peaceful and Comfortable
Very friendly staff, Car park available, Centrally located
Te Malay man (Receptionist) morning shift with spectacles is really very very friendly and attentive. There are two staff at night shift and they really provide quick solution to me when the car park is full. The breakfast is just bread, Jam and butter. You need to pay rm 3 for 2 boiled eggs/ scrambled eggs/fried eggs. The bread is full with ants. They should look into the cleanliness of the food but it is still filling. The restaurant staff are all friendly. The rooms is large and comfortable. Our stay was 3 days 2 nights in twin bedroom. It has a small comfortable sofa. The safe box in the cupboard is really a plus point to the hotel. The television with few Astro channels are good entertainment. The room is very clean. The toilet is just average. The heater was not working properly. Totally its worth of money even there are some minor defects here and there. I would really recommend the hotel for a nice budget tour. It is located centre of town which is very convenient.

overall is accepted. except the a/c is bad, hot, and bathtube is dirty. Value for money but not recommended for family.

It's worst staying experience ever for me so far.
None. The checking in experience ruined our mood to see anything good in this hotel.
It was awful. We were with friends when my family and I checked in. The first thing the staff told me was that they have CCTV to detect extra people in the room despite I told them these friends were just visiting and not going to stay. The staff was too busy calculating the number of people we have and forgot to give us password for wifi and any other basic service. Not long after we entered the room, they called us a few times for a deposit of RM400 in case my visiting friends were staying. That was really insulting and totally ruined our holiday mood. Besides, they asked for deposit to take hair dryer. Not to say they didn't let us know the availability of hair dryer at reception if we need it. It was like everything is about money. This hotel was too money-oriented and neglected the service that they should provide as a service provider. Furthermore, the water was not hot at all. I had to wake up early in the morning for my convocation and I had to shower with really cold water. It wasn't even a shower because I was too busy dodging the cold water and come out from it as fast as I could. Breakfast was provided for one of our room. It was just some bread. My family got scolded by a cleaner for the wrong use of toaster. We were customers. No matter what we did, I don't think we deserve that kind of awful tone and attitude. I would say this was the worst staying experience ever. What I don't get is how does this hotel get so high a rate. It sounds deceiving to me.
