Great stay, value for money

the sea breeze is great in the mornings, although the beach is a walking distance from the hotel. their breakfast buffet at palms was a disappointment. no variaties and low in quality. by 9.30am, the spring onions which i have intended to add into my porridge served have gone blackish and with small little flies around. didn't bother to ask them to change as there was no one at the station. overall, the stay was of satisfaction but the food is bad. i really gave a thumbs down on their buffet breakfast.

The room is large and clean equipped with a bath tub. I went to the hotel during a non-peak season but sadly the hotel staff couldn't upgrade my room. Swimming pool is mostly unoccupied and hence very clean. The beach is accessible via an overhead bridge. Even that, the beach is very well maintained and not crowded.

I enjoyed my stay, but the bath room sink need changing as they look dirty even when it is cleaned. The room was spacious and the carpet has burn mark on it. Looks a little faded otherwise it is ok.
After the cleaners cleaned the room they forgot to replace the hand towel.

Stylish room at a low price

The room was clean and stylish, way above expectation at such a low price from the superior hot deal. It had a reasonable view, and was very cosy and quiet. The staffs were friendly, helpful, warm and welcoming. It was a wonderful stay and definitely would like to come back again.

Great resort with excellent facilities

The Hydro is a great resort with a nice restaurant, good facilities, and extremely friendly staff. The hotel itself is well-connected by a frequent bus service which you will need if you want to see more of Penang. The hotel itself is quite isolated. We would reccommend this hotel for relaxing and indulging.

Refurbished but the rooms are still old

Was a last minute decision to stay overnight in penang and found this hotel on agoda android apps. Breakfast buffet spread was very limited and the hotel made a mistake not not allowing me for breakfast even though I have a breakfast coupon.
Have to go p, speak to check in staff, show them my agoda poking and then they have to make some calls and at last they allow me into for breakfast. Bad experience.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Cross the pedestrian bridge rom the swimming pool to access the beach on the other side of the road.

Overall was good value for money as they were having promotion during low season . Room is very spacious but furniture abit dated . Maybe there are some refurbished units in other floors. No breakfast provided but who need to eat breakfast in the hotel when there are so much delicous street food in Penang .
