3) Shower was pretty small, but water pressure was good We stayed here spontaneously after spending longer at the beach than we expected. The lobby was fabulous and the breakfast was tasty. This is definitely a family resort, with a huge game room and lots of kids splashing all about in the pool. We would definitely stay here again if we had kids with us. There wasn't much of an adult vibe, though the live back in the evening did great American coversongs.

Nice pool with beach view, huge rooms with view of sea, impressive modern design Nothing special about the food in the restaurant as you get huge arrays of street food in Penang itself, which is the main attraction of the island. It was a pleasant drive along the coast to the hotel. Spacious reception over looking the pool. Comfortable lounge at the reception. Easy access to the car park. Helpful staffs. Restaurant is located next to pool which was also quite pleasant with nice landscape. Interesting bridge over the coastal road to the beach.

only a few eating places around
this hotel is close to the beach, just cross the street or through the bridge between the hotel and beach. all rooms have terrace facing the sea, nice view. but not too much going on during the night in the neighbourhood since it is a bit far away from town. no free internet but prepaid internet, 12hours card is valid only in 24 hours. the staff didn't know how the time was counted so we lost half of the hours. food in the hotel restaurant was a bit overpriced.

Reception is personalised.Rooms are spacious facing the sea and beds hidden from condos look. Environment cosy. Beach is just across the road. Restaurant and pool are great. The name 'Hydro' reflects water but not really.Sofas needed for guests waiting in line to register. Restaurant should impose no smoking with signages. I have stayed at almost 10 other hotels in Penang (Holiday Inn, Traders, Cititel,Copthorne etc)and had checked in into Hydro Hotel for the first time. The name Hydro attracted my attention but upon arrival it has very little to do with a water park theme. The reception was impressive with personal attention. Parking facility is rather restricted with tight drive way. The rooms are spacious and clean as the complex was newly refurbished. Room service is friendly and prompt. Food is aplenty and sumptuous.
Nightlife Tip : Travel further up to Batu Feringhi where the nightly market by the roadside are attractive to most tourists. Walk across the road using the bridge where the beach is fascinating.

close to beach, nice room, nice staff no free internet. not too much going on in the neighbourhood at night. We extended one more night in hydro. It was a nice stay as previous. we enjoyed the beach. The food in the hotel restaurant was a bit overpriced. Due to lack of correct info about prepaid internet, we wasted half of the hours on the card and had to buy a second one.
Travel tip : try the beach. the buto ferringhi night market is not far away, reachable by bus 101

Seaview balcony, Fantastic Buffer B'fast!! washroom is little small. We moved to hydro hotel from Gurney resort at town. hydro hotel is much more quiet and peace compare with town hotel but room with private balcony which you can enjoy some drink there at night and you will feel somethings special. hotel near by batu ferriggi beach and night market just about 10min drive from the hotel. location no bad and bus station just few step outside the hotel. overall is fined and value for money but somethings to highlighted must wake up earlier for the buffer b'fast, the local food is FANTASTIC!!!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : suggested to take bus for sightseeing due to hotel location is convenience and saved much due to taxi fares is cost higher with no meters taxi at all.

not too much happening nearby during evening Hydro hotel is very close to the beach, just cross the street. The room has nice seaview. But it is a bit too far away from the center, not too much happening in the neighbourhood during evening unless you take bus for 20min. We bought 12hrs internet service, but the staff gave us different answers when we asked how the time was counted, so we lost half of the hours due to the wrong information. Apart from this the hotel is nice and worth the money. Food was a bit overpriced.

The staff and the quality of care and expertize Nothing to complain about except the hotel courtsey bus could run better hours example every hour during the day The hydro is a place for relaxing, good food , staff are excellent could not fault the service and smiles.
The rooms were so so clean and well maintained.
The breakfast staff and chefs were of 5 star quality.
The pool was excellent so very very clean
Loved the hydro excellent.
The happy hour was a great idea, the entertainment was great.
Nightlife Tip : Batu Ferringi Market and restaurants close by only MYR10 by Taxi or MYR1 on the 101 Bus which stops outside the hotel on the road.

Cleaniness, staff, food, entertainment , pool area Courtsey bus could run on the hour to ferringi and also to other shopping centres and markets The Staff are the Hotel would have to be the most reliable, helpful, staff they could not do enough for you. The Facilities at the hotel were 5 star quality
The Chefs and Breakfast staff were extremely helpful, always had your table ready for you and a nice cup of coffee
The Taxi and Travel service was excellent the tour guide was extremely helpful
The rooms were so nice clean and modern
Restaurant Tip : The food at the Hotel was excellent for all Meals, if you wanted to try outside the Hotel try

4- comfort 1- not near to night bazars we have visited penang alongwith other cities of malaysia and its been very good experience to stay in hydro. the management is very polite and supportive. rooms are neat and clean. view was excellent. but it is far from batu farangi beach to one has to pick up a taxi for 10 ringats for one way every time. the hotel shuttle service is not very friendly in timing.
but its a good hotel to stay

maybe a shower robe or slippers well i had a great experience at the hotel.the stay was wonderful with great staffs working there.the staffs are very friendly and helpful.the surrounding area is also very beautiful and breathtaking.as i was staying in the deluxe room, the room is clean and in order.the bathroom is clean.swimming pools are in great order.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : well near the hotel you can find great beaches which is great for a lovely stroll.near the beach is also some great eating place.the food is cheap and tasty

Rooms have been remodeled, staff are friendly, great value for money The hotel is a taxi ride or bus ride away from anywhere.
The shuttle service is inadequate for the location of the hotel. We initially booked to stay at the Hydro for 4 nights out of a 12 day holiday. After looking around Batu Ferrenghi, we could not a better value for money hotel in the area, so we booked the rest of our trip to stay at the Hydro. The staff were very accommodating and allowed us to change rooms so we had a sunset/ocean view. Rooms look almost brand new and amazingly, the beds are very comfortable! The pool area is great, although we were a little disappointed when we arrived, as photos of place had shown a pool bar. The pool bar has now been turned into a water feature! Meals are good, even if they are ridiculously over-priced (what hotel restuarant doesn't want to charge the earth?) and the breakfast is one of the best we've eaten in Asia. All in all, I don't think you would find a better value for money hotel in the Batu Ferringhi area.
Restaurant Tip : You'll find Mary's Bar a short walk across the bridge, which is a brilliant place to have a beer and watch the sunset.

location is good where they have the beach across the road of the hotel.
room and cleaniness is recommended as i'm sensitive to dust. I got worried once i open the room door as the floor is carpet floor. supprisingly my nose weren't itchy or got alergic that night.
they really need to further improved on food.
they have nasi beryani with beef only. i don take beef. so they should have at least another curry chicken or redang chicken for those who cant take beef since they already have rice. plus most of the food are salty.
