I was sent on duty in Penang for 3 nights so I chose Naza Talyya Seaview Beach Hotel for its price and after reading many good feedback on this hotel.
Certainly I was not let down and the location of this hotel is excellent. As I had a car, traveling down to Gurney was just about 5 minutes away (could be faster if there were no traffic lights). There's also a food court right in front of the hotel so can just walk out for dinner.
The room was kept pretty clean and I could sleep soundly throughout my 3 nights here. Bathroom was clean as well.
My stay came with a complimentary breakfast although very simple. However, I enjoyed the scenery view from the cafe in the morning. Moreover, there's no better way to start a morning than by breathing in really fresh air.
There are not many parking lots available though so you might want to take note on this if you're planning to stay here during peak period.
Would definitely stay here again!

good to stay / very peace full place/ night stay is very good/ it is center point between town and outer area of penang island/ the hotel is worth for money/ only problem is there is no good food courts or restarunt near by the hotel/ but you can order food in house hotel restarunt/ or you can go to the restarunt to eat but it is quite costly compare to out side but hygine you the money what you have spent is not costly.

Nice location and with beautiful seaview but the room is very very poorly maintained. Air condition very noisy, telephone in the room not working. Suppose to have free wi fi but stayed for 2 nights cannot logged on at all.
Lobby don't even have proper interior decoration, very bare n dirty.
Will not stay there anymore and will not revommend to friends.

hotel room is very small & looks quite old. if staying alone , then it's still ok. hotel is nearby to beach & there is a food court nearby to hotel so finding food is not a problem.
the popular gurney plaza shopping centre is also a short distance away. take a cab cost rm20~30 & takes around 15mins to reach there from hotel.

The hotel had an 'aged' overall and the rooms didn't seem as impressive as what the picture showed. Bathroom was of great size, all other components (ie bed, tables, tv) were functioning and of reasonable quality. Breakfast was not fantastic though. The food was bland and does not reflect how it should really be cooked and presented.

rooms are big and clean. big choice of different foods on the buffet. good omlettes freshly made for you. you can enjoy your food by the pool at the terrace with the nice beach and see view. the hotel is in a good location : just 30 minutes from georgetown by bus, and around 30-40 minutes from penang national park.
when a problem occured, it was delt with very fast and profesionally by warren! good value for money. we recommend.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Penang National Park is a good place to do a bit of trecking. you are walking through a real jugle out there, much beautiful things to see. not easy, but worth going to the top (lighthouse), for the stunning view.
thera are many amazing temples: kek lok sik, which contains the 30m tall bronze statue, the reclining budda statue, and the 1000 buddas temple.many of temples in Gergetown itself.
bus travel very cheap and convienient.
