For a one night stay, Parkroyal was pleasant enough to warrant more stays in the future. Though would have been better if there was a hair saloon offered in the hotel vicinity itself.
Hotel Feature Tip:
There is no beauty saloon in the hotel.

Excellent choices for breakfast buffet, love the landscaping and the sea.
The carpets in the rooms need to be changed, feels damp and old. The toilet can also be upgraded to the shower concept without the tub.
The staff are all very friendly as well.
Activities on the beach are just too many, risky especially when you see so many jet skis crisscrossing on the seas, with paragliding,bananna boats and guests swimming all in the same place.

My suggestion for the Kokonut club is paste a notice note regarding baby sitter outside the notice board instead of inside.
There is a friendly staff and service. Nice food and smile services.
May improve the dinner buffet with fresh and more choice of japanese food especially shashimi.

Frankly speaking, at first sight, Parkroyal didn't seem like it had much to offer. However it proved to be a real gem with spanking clean rooms and excellent service. Parkroyal and the hotels in the vicinity share the same stretch of beach which one can partake in various beach activities. However it is pretty expensive in my opinion. You could always opt to chill out at the hotel pool with some finger food and beer (there is happy hour from 4.30pm onwards). It was a pleasant surprise that i got upgraded to a bigger room, the one gripe i have is that the view isn't that fantastic, but that doesn't mar the whole experience in the slightest bit.
Shopping Tip:
there is a night market just outside the hotel which sells miscellaneous stuff, nothing to shout about but worth a visit because there is nothing much in the area.

If u plan to visit the Penang National Park pls arrange for a taxi driver to pick u up from there. The bus takes very long to come

Hotel was in a good location for the night market. Service was pleasant and there are taxis directly in front of the hotel. The room was a little outdated compared to some of the places I've stayed in but were clean and comfortable.
