Lovely hotel but services started to lack behind
Beautifully set up and nice swimming pool area, lovely lighting and nice lobby bar

Park Royal is a very beautiful hotel to stay and relax, away from the noisy city like George town or Garney area. The beach just right behind the hotel and one can join many water sports or activities. However, just noticed the level of services were a bit falling behind compared to previous stayed. Had to wait for some time for some one to help with the luggages when we arrived, some facilities were hard to get as no one there to attend to guests. Hotel phone charge seems to be a little bit too high eg. $ ringgits per minute to mobile.

Lovely hotel
Location , service and facilities!

Enjoyed our stay there over Christmas altho busy!
-Location is definitely a plus point, near night markets, restaurants, shops.
-Good service, very polite and prompt.
-Lots of taxi’s available , hotels tour assistant is helpful and will make all the arrangements.
-Beach and pool area is lovely! Ample space to relax and sunbathe!
- Drinks are expensive but happy hour at the pool bar is worth the value. Food expensive but huge portions and tasty (try the grilled Moroccan lamb sausage at the pool restaurant). Enjoyed the Xmas Day dinner buffet, food was tasty but we were disappointed that it wasn’t more “Christmassy” in terms of look and feel and was really very expensive. We wanted to have the Christmas Lunch but it was fully booked and the waitress on that day who informed us of it was rather rude, that wasn’t very pleasant.
- Buffet breakfast is good, nice selection and tasty pancakes!
- Free wifi in the rooms, may not be the fastest but overall value add.
On the downside however, we had some minor hiccups as our room was missing a duvet, and didn’t have glasses in minibar or toilet and iron wasn’t working however , as soon as I called up housekeeping they replenished it promptly and with a smile that I couldn’t fault them. Understandably it was such a busy period for the hotel! We had minor problems with our toilets but the technicians came to help and the front desk was willing to accommodate us with another replacement room if we still weren’t happy. So that was great and efficient.Our only feedback is the room, the bed is really comfortable and toiletries lovely but its just too cramped! Especially the superior hillside we took,because the bed and cupboards were so big we had trouble moving about properly, especially to use the charger and iron! So perhaps that can be re-looked.Especially with such a steep price being charged by the hotel.

Near to night market but not great stuff to buy

old hotel with outdated facilities

go for the basic room, cause all the furnitures and facilities are old and rusty, service average and considered expensive for the lanai suite where the interior design is decades old
Shopping Tip:
use public bus to anywhere, include airport, gurney drive is very convenient

Clean hotel with reasonably pleasant service

For a one night stay, Parkroyal was pleasant enough to warrant more stays in the future. Though would have been better if there was a hair saloon offered in the hotel vicinity itself.
Hotel Feature Tip:
There is no beauty saloon in the hotel.

great location, lovely room

Excellent choices for breakfast buffet, love the landscaping and the sea.
The carpets in the rooms need to be changed, feels damp and old. The toilet can also be upgraded to the shower concept without the tub.
The staff are all very friendly as well.
Activities on the beach are just too many, risky especially when you see so many jet skis crisscrossing on the seas, with paragliding,bananna boats and guests swimming all in the same place.

The room was at the end of the hotel looking into some other buildings and there was the mosque nearby. Other than that hotel was ok

My suggestion for the Kokonut club is paste a notice note regarding baby sitter outside the notice board instead of inside.
There is a friendly staff and service. Nice food and smile services.
May improve the dinner buffet with fresh and more choice of japanese food especially shashimi.

kids are happy with the swimming pool, big and fun to swim in. Breakfast is superb, varieties and complete good environment. Room bed is nice and soft
