In town.
Easily accessible to street hawker food.( Next to the hotel)
Beside Time Square( been around for 6mth yet like a ghost town)
Access to taxi/cab easily.
Conditions of the hotel room is very bad.
Lousy wireless internet access.
The floor matteress is very dirty.
No tooth brush and tooth paste is provided.
The bath room door is very weak.( Seems like going to drop anytime)
Overall experience for this hotel is generally normal as consider the price we pay to stay per night. Its so much cheaper compare to the rest of the hotel.

Comfortable and spacious rooms, Excellent buffet breakfast, nice views of Georgetown. Close to transport hub at Komtar.
Tired looking hotel. Whilst close to the Komtar building (geographical centre of Georgetown), not within close walking distance to the historical centre of Georgetown
At first I had high expectactions considering the prominent name 'Sunway' has in the Malaysian community. Whilst not ideally located near the historical attractions of Georgetown, it is right near the transport hub KOMTAR, so its very easy to catch a bus to Batu Ferringhi (102) and Penang Hill (204).
The rooms are well past their used by date and I was quite annoyed by the failure of management to fix a leaking toilet in our room. We made three calls and the solution was only temporary.
Another great feature is the night market which surrounds the hotel from 6pm onwards. It has some great local cuisine.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The locals will tell you.. don't rely on Penang's public transport system. Even the free city bus can't keep to its 'every 15 minute' schedule

Very convenient with nearby hawker stalls.
Check-in service rather slow.
The location of the hotel is very convenient as there are a lot of hawker stalls nearby and within walking distance to nearby biggest shopping centre, Komtar. The rooms are quite clean and spacious with boiling kettle as well as internet broadband connection (but I believe you have to pay for the usage).
