I have been staying in Sunway Hotel Georgetown since 20 years,
not much changes....
Like the friendly astmosphere....and also a step away for good foods ....

the sunway hotel georgetown located in a great location. when you step out from the lobby, you can get many hawker stalls (evening) with their local foods; i.e : restaurant famous fish head mee hoon just beside the hotel, asam laksa, char keoy teow, bok bia, loh bak, laksa mee, tang yuen, satay, bbq chicken wings, ais batu campur (abc) and with a walking distance to the shopping center berjaya times square and morning market just beside the shopping center.
the hotel staffs are friendly but the swimming pool is small, the room is clean and with a good sightseeing views if you off all the lights in the room, and now their are doing renovation works to take about 13 months. thereafter, hope to get a "new" hotel in georgetown.

great location but not so good quality

bathroom accessories are not functioning well
water accidentally turned off by maintenance crew, as a result, no water for shower on the second day morning, have to use toilet bowl water tap
cash left behind on desk gone, about RM 25, complained to receptionist when check-out hoping to raise some concern for improvement, not meant to get money back; however, received no satisfactory response, and guess will not be followed-up by them

Run down, lackluster hotel

The hotel is undergoing renovation, but this seems to serve as an excuse to have let the present service and ambience slide. Badly in need of a makeover on all fronts.
