This hotel is not the same as I visited a few years ago which was more cleaner, user friendly and very comfortable, which was value for money but not at the present moment, where most things there really sucks. I would not suggest any recommadation to others to patronised unless it's well upgraded in the near future. The only area that's it's good was due to it's beach front that was clean and comfortable. Overall, internally, it needs a lot of touching up and upgrading.
The parking attendant were very helpful and attentive.
Room carpet is dirty and old, TV was not in good functioning condition. Breakfast serve was of poor quality.Upon checking in, reception doesn't know what is priority at all.

The reception area looks plain but the staffs are friendly. The only dissatisfaction I have is that they dont seems to know what event is going on in the hotel! when I enquire which floor was the belly dancing performence was at, they dont know! It sound strange to me! Anyway booking through Agoda.com can get a much cheaper price than booking direct. About 30% diffirent. :-)
Location, the peach and its coffee house location.
Toilet is not clean.

New refurbished at the ground floor. Nice lobby and restaurant for breakfast. Check-in was quite fast and friendly. Check-out was a bit long though, due to the holidays crowd. Breakfast was good and food was replenished all the time. Rooms were moderate but clean. The ones facing the sea/pool has very nice views.
New renovations at the lobby. Holiday feeling.
A bit noisy due to holiday season.
Very pleasant stopover

This hotel has been upgraded to a high standard. The Sea view rooms have a lovely outlook, the staff are very obliging and there is good and cheap public transport to the city centre. We felt the hotel was good value for money. There are a couple of minor maintenance issues (flaws in carpet and other trivia) but nothing that affected our stay. The rooms are quite large. I have no hesitation in reccomending this hotel.
Very scenic relaxing location.
Nice staff and large rooms
The breakfast was not very exciting but still adequate.
- Hotel Feature Tip : Allow extra time if using the roads at rush hour, there is quite a bit of congestion on some roads, but the traffic is reasonably civilised.

Tanjung Bungah hotel is a nice hotel for medium stay in Penang. It is a nice building with nice clean room and great view to the sea. A nice swimming pool and lot of activites proposed for children. It is a litle far from the center. You have good bus network to move to the island but the best way is to have your own transportation means.
Nice view hotel, nice building, big and clean room. Good breakfast .
Far from center, not a lot of shopping or food sites nearby.
Sweet memory

This is a sweet journey as this is to celebrate my birthday. The location for the hotel is fine, very near from gurney drive. The room is very clean. And I love the swimming pool very much. Hotel also provides some chair at the sea sides for us to enjoy the surf, so romantic.
After refurbishment, the whole building looks very clean and beautiful. The sea view seems like bonus. Other than that, there are a lot of choices for the breakfast, the taste also very delicious.
The sea side a lot of shell. You must be careful when you walk around.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't just sleep at the hotel, enjoy it.
Good sea view

This hotel should be knocked down and rebuilt under new management. It was probably a fine establishment 25 years ago.
A Pleasant Surprise!

If only the beach could have finer sand!
- Restaurant Tip : A taste of the famous Nasi Kandar can be got at a 24-hour shop called Subaidah, a 7 minute drive away in the direction of Gerogetown.
