nothing much to tell

Alot, starting with the cleanliness and staff attitude ..

The staff of the Hotel were rude, treating the residence with lack of respect. I had to make complaint about them, yet, no one from the admin office nor the staff offered sincere appology other than the resturant cheaf. The location is far from any popular area and you need a car to get to the nearest supermarket or mall

Shopping Tip : no shoping center is near by the Hotel

1. Location is good if have rented car, good hawker food just nearby 2. Good seaview 3. Staff very helpful and friendly 4. Rooms a bit old but ok 5. Breakfast was good

1. TV has limited channels 2. Bed is Twin not King

Generally a decent beach hotel with seaview. Breakfast was good and staff is friendly. Need to have a rented car to explore all of Penang. If not a stay at this beach hotel to relax is just as good too. Good value for money for this stay.

The hotel room is clean & nice view to the sea side. The hotel staffs are nice and helpful. The breakfast provided is also ok. Internet service & wifi provided with chargeble rate of RM8 / Hour. Shutter van or transportation provided with very cheap rate. Is very near to the Island Plaza to shopping at the day time & also near to the Batu Frenggi Beach night market.

Loved the newly renovated lobby. And the beach was just down the stairs from the lobby. Great sea views.

The service was very bad. I had to call numerous times just to get my extra mattress and I was being transferred from one department to another and back to the same departments again. Finally after an hour, they delivered the mattress. On the morning of the checkout date, my family and I went downstairs for our buffet breakfast. When we went back up to get our luggage, we found that we've already been locked out of our own rooms. We had to go downstairs again to get the receptionist to reset our keys and the staff did not look too happy with our complaints. Other than that, the bottom layer of the matteress was tattered and torn. The bathroom was very old. The windows were not very sound-proof as there was a lot of noise from the passing cars. The swimming pool was quite old too.

This hotel is great for the views, the price, and the location (between Batu Ferringhi and Georgetown) but service quality was severely compromised. Go for this if you want value for money, but not if you're picky about service.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Butterfly farm and waterfall nearby is worth a visit.

Lovely view, beach is right at door step.

Need transport to get to places of interest. Not able to walk to any except the temple.

Hotel was pleasently clean with the usual amentities. Breakfast was good with a lot of variety. Considering the price paid for the experience, its value for money. Unfortunately it rained much of the time when I was in the hotel so I never got a chance to take a walk down the beach.

Hotel Feature Tip : Do visit the top floor especially if your room is not facing the beach. The view from there is fantastic.

Very nice Hotel with rooms with sea view. hotel reception has been renovated and looks great.

only thing is the location, not much to do around the hotel, Batu Farrengi is 10 minutes away on bus / taxi

There was 5 people in our party, check in was very busy and was not organised at all we did not recieve our 1st room till 3pm and the 2nd room till 4pm. We got two rooms one double and one room with three sing beds. There was plenty of room to have 3 single beds. We requested the 2 rooms on the same floor but were not given they were 3 floors apart not ideal. The guy who was giving out the towels at the pool was very rude, as we were waiting to check in, they said we could use the facilities while we waited but he was funny about us using towels. The location of the Hotel was not not so great, the beach, pool, and resort was good, but there was nothing to do around outside the hotel, Batu Ferrengi was 10 minutes away, If you rented a car its ideal for travelling around because of the hotel location.

Shopping Tip : Great shopping in Batu Ferrengi

Nice decor at lobby. Next to beach

A bit too far from town; hotel should provide free shuttle buses to town or nearby attractions

We stayed two nights, and it was overall a pleasant experience. Rooms were spacious enough. Only thing was that the hotel is a bit far from town, and there was no free shuttle bus to go out. You either take a taxi (RM20) or wait for the local bus which takes forever. Staff were friendly enough. One only comment is the check in time is 3:00pm, so for those of you who arrive early, you'd have to wait in the lobby.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you want to sight seeing in Penang, hire a car!!!

They let me check in 3 hours earlier than check-in time, since my flight arrived then. Restaurant downstairs has delicious food - breakfast and dinner buffets are wonderful!

No washcloths, no bar soap or shampoo bottles (instead they have a liquid soap dispenser for all purposes), no free internet (must pay a high price for a short time of wireless)

The airport is quite a ways from the hotel (47 MR is the standard taxi rate). Has a small beachfront where you can lay out or swim, and a decent pool. The hotel staff lady was not very eager to welcome me. The furniture is fairly old and used, the bathroom fixtures are worn out, the window seal was not tight so the wind sometimes whistled through. The TV only has 3 English stations to choose from. On the bright side, the restaurant's food is delicious, and they did let me check in quite early!

Restaurant Tip : The dinner buffet at the hotel restaurant has delicious seafood and all the sides you could want for 50 MR.

Great views of the beach, great breakfasts, friendly helpful staff, good pool, access to some water sports free, plenty of transport available.

Location, to get to most 'tourist' things, you need to either take a taxi or local bus or hire a driver & car. Not a lot within walking distance. No specific non smoking rooms. Rooms are big and roomy but they do need a little updating.

We spent 6 days here and had a lovely relaxing time! Pool area is great, took out a 2 man canoe on the ocean, it was quite gentle and we had a great time doing this! We caught a local bus to Batu Ferringhi, great night markets, it is cheap and the experience is not to be missed!

Restaurant Tip : Must try the big Chinese Restaurant just up the road from Hotel, Pang (Hainan) Seafood! Fresh and good value & just a short walk!

I have stayed in seaview room and really nice seen in the morning. Restuarant downstair also fav. place that you have to check it out.. its relax and chilled. The breakfast is simple but not so bad.

First disappoinment as the front staff not really friendly and understanding. I have been booked with Agoda and expecting to get all things done in one short eg. The hotel didn't aware of my booking and not showing my name in the system. Its also front staff try to avoid my request like irresponsible. If you wish to use WiFi here, you must pay for an access, really rediculious for me as they claimed the internet down repeatedly once we kept asking till we get home still unable to use the internet. The room quit old especially in the toilet as bit haunted. The ceiling is full of dust and painting not properly.

As the said above, the hotel should improve with their facilities eg. Internet, ceiling etc. The rest of it just nice and simple environtment. On the other note, the Spa should not be the same place with fitness's room coz its looks funny tht after massges/spa then coming out from the room and facing with all sport guys.

RECEPTION

ROOM

It was a nice stay. Brand new looing hotel from below but the room was dissappointing and it was quite far from the centre of the city. Good hotel, good gym, good pool, good restaurants. The restaurant was really good so we'd go again. Shopping was also very good in Malaysia, some people just a bit untrustworthy.

Magnificant views of the beach from your room also Beach views from the hotel restaurant. Bus stops regularly (every 20 mins) at the front of the hotel entrance which takes you into George Town. Comfy and clean rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Bathroom was a little tight and dark. No safe box in our room, which meant passports and valuables had to be taken everywhere with us. Buffet was not as great as we had expected. Large variety, however, lacked taste and flavour.

Overall we loved staying there. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants peace and relaxation and avoid the hustle and bustle of the city crowd. Reasonably cheap for a beach hotel with a good transport system that takes you to the where you need to get to.

Travel tip : excellent place to stay if u want to wake up to the smell of paradise. Major shopping centres are not too far away (10-15 mins). Bus 101 will take u directly/near Guerny Rd and George Town. A 10-15 min bus trip in the opposite direction take you to Batu Ferringi....a beach hot spot, where u can enjoy lots of water sports during the day and stay for shopping and dinner at the night market. Clubs and bars can also be found here.
