Room is good but not up to Traders standard

overall the hotel is fine. clean and newly refurbish room but knowing that traders is part of shangri-la, you might expect a little more. for the price being charged, the choice at breakfast was disappointing. also the view out from my room was so awfull (rooftop of komtar that's so dirty).

We were visitng Penang on business and the hotel was ideal for that purpose. Even in the deluxe room they had a good sized desk and the wireless Internet worked for both my wife and I at the same time and did not need to be signed into each time we went online. The bathroom was kept spotless and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is very convenient! Best features will be the comfortable basic room and location! Very near to all the major food street in Penang! Travelling may be a haZard in Penang due to the relatively heavier traffic flow! Please estimate time for travelling!

Very comfortable stay apart from the occasional foreign guests speaking very loudly at the corridor. Rooms are clean and amenities sufficient.
On a side note, front counter guests and bell boys were not attentive. Noticed that they were more interested in chatting among themselves than attending to guests that was standing in front of the counter or lifts.

Tired but businesslike hotel

A rather tired, but nonetheless functional and welcoming business friendly hotel in the heart of Penang. Good access to the town and next door to a large shopping centre. Staff are great, they are very friendly and accomodating. Worth paying a bit more and staying on the club floor.
