OK for price

I was not expecting much from a 1 star guesthouse and it was about what I expected, basic but OK. The staff were very friendly and the internet worked well so no complaints about the hotel itself....
Before going to port dickson do some homework! For a western traveller relying on public transport/taxis (or anyone else) the place is terrible! There is nothing there and it is deserted. We were there over a weekend and saw nobody the whole time we were there. It is like a ghost town. Everything (not much) is about 5 miles from here and we got a taxi to a market one evening and then at 10:30 could not get one back because the taxis do not run at night and had to walk! If you are going to come maybe just book one night and keep your options open!

they do not have a computer at this hotel so they do not get emails to confirm a booking....
so, when i tried to check in the guy had no idea what to do ... he called their other hotel (the seafront hotel, also PD) who manages the agoda bookings. he then tells me to go to this other hotel to confirm my booking with them and to check in...then come back to suria... i refused and after a long back and forth with the clueless guy at suria and with the lady on the phone at the seafront hotel, they finally let me check it..
anyhow, once checked in the room is basic (<80 is going to get basic) but ok for a nights rest. plenty near by for food too. the new PD seafront has pappa rich, dominoes, McD's etc etc
fix the check in process and its a half decent low budget hotel.

Small Hotel in town centre

As a one star hotel for a budget traveller as suppose the hotel could be rated as adequate however, in bringing certain factors to the management attention, we were quickly moved to a better hotel not far away. In fact the management were so helpful that the entertained us like kings and queens. So if there is any problem, do feel afraid to ask.

Not a lot to say about Suria. It was the cheapest room available in Port Dickson during Chinese New Year and it did the job.
No major pluses or minuses
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to forest reserve by the lighthouse to see monkeys and eagles

if you are looking for a decent and yet cheap hotel, you can try this. go karts activities in front of the hotel. no problem if you are hungry. food outlet nearby. wifi only at lobby when we check in that time eventhough it stated as the hotel has wifi.

the staff wasn't friendly, we were trying to find more information about public transport, but was told to use taxi instead. no any useful free advices
rooms are ok. small and clean.
the hotel is not located near beaches. they are all in about 7km distance.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Get a bus from the bus station near the hotel (7 min walk), costs ~2MYR and will bring to all the beaches in PD
