Nice Beach Resort
Huge grounds with a nice sandy beach, golf course, swimming pool and other sports facilities.

Check-in was brisk and pleasant. However the toilet in the room we were given appears dirty and smells like urine. Housekeeping was prompt to clean upon request.
Breakfast was disappointing, the spread and quality does not commensurate the rate of RM40. There were also countless flies landing on food at the buffet counter.
Restaurant Tip:
Chinese seafood restaurant opposite the Hotel serves delicious food.

The hotel is a good place for a short weekend relax trip with kids and friends.

this is a huge hotel with good nices sized rooms which were well done up and clean. the hotel staff was nice and did the best they could.
there are 2 adult and 1 kids pool in the hotel which made our stay memorable...the pool bar is nice with a good selection of drinks and snacks
the private beach is also an advantage.the food was very nice will good selections
Hotel Feature Tip:
like most hotels in PD, this hotel is off the beaten track and you would probabaly end up staying in the hotel most of the time
blue lagoon is abt 5 mins drive from the hotel

Got a nice room overlooking the golf course. Spacious room with a balcony. Beautiful scenery. Great pool to swim in and drink cocktails.
There was only one restaurant that served breakfast. As our room stay did not come with a free breakfast, we had no choice but to eat at this restaurant that charged 40rm per person. Personally think it is pricey for the quality of food we got.
Beach is not appealing. And don't stay here on Sundays. Pool gets overcrowded with kids.
Restaurant Tip:
Take a cab down to one of the seafood restaurants.

Well organised hotel
THe check in staff was very friendly and accomodating and helpful. Big rooms with private beach.

my family enjoyed the weekend at thistle. everything was great fm check-in the check-out. only a slight snag, the rooms were clean but there is room for improvement cos our feet turned black while walking barefooted so maybe a good mop would have helped. the buffet b/fast needs to be more organise esp the egg counter n porridge counter queue seemed to clash. other than tat the bathrooms were very clean and everything else was great. we would defnitely recommend this hotel to everyone out there.

The best 5 star hotel in Post Dickson. Convenience location with lots of guest parking space. Best condition and most reputable hotel among all the hotels there. Private beach and huge swimming pool, a very popular place for local people's weekend family vacation

It was a lovely surpise to stay at Thistle. The hotel room (deluxe) is spacious and ours with balcony and pool view. The swimming pool is huge and fun - with jaccuzzi and wadding pool. Great for family with children. Nice getaway for couple and friends too. You can rent the kayak boat for per hour. The plus point is the private beach which is clear and clean with beautiful sunset. There is a pool bar (with a small infinity pool) called Cumulus nearby the beach with live band at night. Though the location is far from the PD town (approx. 15KM), but there are lots of restaurant especially chinese seafood restaurant along the way. Worth the price. Definetly will recommend to our friends and family and will stay here again.

Nice pool but disappointed with the room

Nice pool but room is very basic. The room was very noisy, every few minutes can heard the lifting noise of machine which we think should be filling up the water top on top. We thought only affecting our room, later heard some guest complain about the noise too. It was very irritating as the noise is there throughout the night.
We will not go back to this hotel again.
