Great experience but the room can be a little hot. There is one particular worker that was very helpful in helping us to get the barbeque pit, although the pricing was way too high, she was very helpful and friendly. The one small thing that ruin this trip was the service at the cafeteria. The service was slow and they mixed up the orders. Overall it was a great place to stay over but i would really consider not eating in the hotel.

Slightly expensive but definately worth it. It facilited an amazing kampung style garden. the whole environment is super relaxing. Strongly recondmend for romantic couples. They staff are quite helpful also. Definately one of the best hotel we ever stayed!

The standard room has nothing to shout about - it is located in one for the main building. But the surrounding is nice and its a good place to relax and chill.
Go for the chalet/villa if you have the budget and you want privacy! But if you just need a place to sleep, then standard room should be sufficient.

Save for the remote location, everything about Sentosa Villa is great. Since we drove, the location was not much a problem. We like the vast greenry, the hills, the waterfalls, a country club feel. Very quaint and certainly marvelous for relaxing.
The rooms itself is vast, the bedding firm and comfortable, the view very tempting looking at all the durian trees. certainly a place I would recommend for guests who want some peace, greenry, and relaxation. I wonder if we can get to taste the durians!
Certainly value for money. The price is reasonable, for a much bigger room with a better setting, you pay the same price as a hotel room in the town.

Love the natural surroundings

We went in a group of 12 people. Rooms were great. The beautiful natural surroundings and streams running through the resort is something very unique and perhaps is the best feature or this resort. And because it is situated at the foothills of Bukit Larut, it is cooling most of the time.
The pillows are however hard and uncomfortable. I highlighted this during my last stay but sad to say no improvements.
Rates are rather steep compared to normal hotel prices in Taiping.
You may have difficulties moving around if you don't have a car but I am sure the resort can help to arrange transportation if necessary.

Comfy villa in serene kampong gardens

I liked the modern, spacious deluxe villa room lay-out and design, with the simple but elegant bathroom. The cafe also served a good variety of heavy meals and snacks. I enjoyed strolling along the undulating slopes, enjoying the lovely sound of nature of the stream flowing by, as my husband and I walked from the villa to the cafe for dinner and breakfast. Was the area used to be a dusun (fruit orchard)? .... plenty of huge durian trees but not bearing any fruits anymore? I just love the kampung and green, lush ambience abound. Service at the cafe was rather slow; but staff were friendly.
Restaurant Tip:
If you eat at the cafe and order the grilled chicken, ask for the sauce to be served on a separate dish (too much of the sauce was smothered over the meat - almost diminished the taste).
