Berjaya Redang Beach Resort, Terengganu

The resort is very clean and well maintained. We went early in the week and stayed until the Friday by which time more people had arrived and the secluded feel of the previous days had gone although there is no problem with space just increased noise levels. The beach and the water were white/crystal clear and the weather was stunning our entire stay. There is a good selection of food which is all of pretty good quality (excluding some buffet items....al a carte is much better). However, the alcohol is not cheap. A can of beer/half pint is 23-25 Myr (£4.50 ish). The wine was more reasonable at 140-180 Myr (£25-£32) although we are from London so we are used to inflated prices! Overall the resort was stunning. I would recommend the Ocean Suite Villa as a must due to its location and proximity to the beach/ammenities.

I have been to Redang 5 times but in a different, and 4 times in other islands nearby eg: Pulau Kapas, Pulau Perhentian and Lang Tengah. Me and my wife have a good stay in Berjaya Resort, Redang. But for my point of view, i am somehow feel overpriced and not so value for money compare to the resorts surrounding. The receptionist took really long for us to check in and eventually asked us to walk by ourself to the room without giving us the key as she told us somebody is waiting for us the room. But I almost lost and there no signage showing my room number. One thing i can surely tell that Berjaya Resort in Redang is worth to stay compare to others is their front beach which has a bigger fishes, more fishes, big coral just infront of resort which you almost don't have to dive or snorkelling so far away. The clealiness of the resort is actually below par which I hope to advise Berjaya through here to improve its clealiness.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying for 3 nights / 4 days. We stayed in a 1 bedroom ocean view room (number 242) and the room was very nice. The resort is great for couples or families. The pool is full of kids so it may not be the first choice for a honeymoon couple… As usual in Asia for us Europeans the bed may be a little bit too firm but you just have to get used to it. The room included breakfast served in the main restaurant and the food was of very good quality. For lunch and dinner there is also a buffet with good selection and quality. If you get tired of the buffet food you can go for the a la carte dinner at the beach front restaurant or the bar light / snack food. During the days we took some of the arranged activity tours offered by the hotel. We did jungle trekking and around the island snorkeling tour. The trekking really went straight through the jungle on a small path. We arrived at a larger beach with many resorts on the other side of the island. Here there were more activities and also a local bar / club. If you are staying for more than a few days you can go across to this beach with a boat in the morning and go back in the evening or at night. The snorkeling tour was ok but not great. There were many fish to see but the water in the small bays we stopped in was not as clear as in the hotel beach. More or less the "only" way to get there is with Berjaya air, the airplanes are pretty old and don't really operate on time, so if you have a short connection on your way back, be aware and take an earlier flight.

i always spend my vocation in defferent beach resort,but this time,it's the best hotel with the best beach and sea,and i wish i can be there again,the diving service is also great,the trainer is very profesional

We had a great 3 day vacation at the resort. Everything was great - the resort location, the resort amenities and the staff.

This hotel has privilege to access from Kuala Terengganu easily both Airport and Wharf. Hotel Should show definitely the time schedule of ships for departure and arrival, in the HP.

the view of the redong island is perfect,but inside of the hotel room is not very well. the hotel service is good, everyone are smail, friendly, the staffs who drive the boat are cool. i engoy that holiday very, for future suggestion, the traveller who go there must try the water activty there, they are so fun.

It seems that staff wants to make sure you don't leave the resort to other resorts or restaurants. Please take no notice because food is poor and expensive! Try the othe resorts, Coral Bay accommodation is nice and offers good value food.

Go out and snorkel, the water is so clear and has a lot of beautiful fish. Had it not been for the beach we would not have been satisfied.

Malay woman is not the future of friendship, afternoon or CHECK IN righteously no cleaning of this room, and told her that the honeymoon and she said no way to arrange a room, and so on for a long time finally to a sweep of the two bed room. Finally, the attendant to help me lead the way for a clean bed room. It was low season, not a lot of room, and do not know what the root of the Malaysian ride tendons wrong. Environment and the hardware facilities of the hotel is very good, the restaurant's food taste better, it may be because there is no competition, hotel service prices are generally high.
