Good stay
The facilities of snorkeling and other island activities can be booked direct here

we have a good stay. the chalet is ok and comfortable. the food here are quite expensive though. the staff performance so so only.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The 2 km length beach at front of the Resort is a catch for those who enjoy beach walking. For snorkeling and diving trip, you can go to Coral Island, Malang Rock, Renggis Island and Marine Park.

Beachfront location with hous reef just a few step fron teh pool.

good and clean rooms but a little bit expensive for the standard. breakfast expensive but you can try to by coupons cheaper in reception.
great service fron airport with shuttlebus. free transportation around the hotel area but i think if you have helthy legs you can walk and save the enviorment.
great pool area with childrens playgrund separated fron main pool so every one can have a great time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you are planning to go to Reggins island with the shuttle boat from hotel, go early in the morning because of the currents.

Lovely beach but dated room

Service was great - locals are kind and gentle. The room was clean but as others have said, was abit old and could have been updated and renovated. The food and spa were very overpriced. The beach was clean and very pretty.

upon check-in, we found ourselves in a very nice and self contained environment. we enjoyed the privacy and quiet surrounding. the whole compound was very well lighted up so we had no fears walking around even along the beach. the staff were pleasant and helpful.we enjoyed activities like cycling and swimming.

The rooms were comfortable, and great food was available in the hotel restaurant, or outside the entrance to the resort area.
It is a great place to just lounge around not doing anything much; however there is the usual array of sea activities available such as snorkeling, diving, banana boating
The staff however were polite but slow in responding to requests.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Do not go during public holidays!

I have fine two days in Berjaya Tioman Resort. The beach is very nice,the water is crystal blue, the room is very spacious, the environment is very beautiful, the service is impeccable and the food is very fabulous. It is a wonderful place to chill out. But Tioman island is quite far away from Singapore. On the first day, I got on the bus at 10 am in Singapore and checked in at 5 p.m. What a waste of day! You have to be careful about your time management

I've stayed for 2 nights. Resort was OK for me.
Rooms were clean, but I've thought a superior chalet should have ocean view, which it didn't [could be my misunderstanding] anyway the beach was very close so it wasn't much of a deal.
Transportation is well arranged to and from the jetty and the airport.
One night we would like to leave berjaya towards Paya, this was very difficult to arrange and we would be charged 200 ringit for a boat [imagine, a full day snorkeling + boat would cost you the same]
Food was OK, but not the best, you could better leave the gate and sit at the places along the road.
