good place for snorkling
lots of choices for water sports, clean, comfort

we were upgraded to stay in Banyan tree for the last two days. we had wonderful snorkling experience in Angsana, many fishes and coral around the beach. Banyan tree is more beautiful and fit for photographing. the villa is more spacious and comfortable than Angsana.

we had an excellent short stay,house reef is very good for snorkelling as it is very close to shore-our main reason for choosing this island.staff are very well trained to build a friendly relationship with customers,would choose to stay with Angsana elsewhere if they were where I was looking to holiday.lovely small island with easy access to airport.interesting bathroom!probably 1 week would be long enough for me on such a small island.excellent holiday would definitely recommend staying here.

We spent a great time here. The house reef is really good, especially on the east side, very near, you just swim 1 minutes to reach the house reef, while the one at the west side is farer. However, the wave in the east side is very strong so if you have kids I recommend you use the room at the west side.
The sandbank dining is strongly recommended (breakfast might be better if you have kids), or you can hire a saling for 1 hour to the sandbank. It's really good!

Nice trip in maldives for honeymoon, but we got villa n46 which is the closest to the diving center. But was still great. Spa is very nice. Restaurant is ok, but it lacks fish and seafood.
The main weak point : staff at the bar not friendly at all...

my wife and i just got back from spending a few nights at this beautiful hotel. service was great, & the good was delicious. we thoroughly enjoyed snorkeling around the island. we always spend a day at the banyan tree right across the angsana. though this was a much bigger island, we preferred the angsana, we found the villas here had more privacy. great place and would love to go back for the snorkeling!

Modern villas and beautiful coral

we stayed in a beach villa and the room was modern, spacious and beautiful. i loved the attention to detail - the lighting, paintings, modern furniture, incence burner, candles, toiletries, robes and little gifts. you had the option to relax on your bed, on the little sofa, at the coffee table, on the sun bed located on your verandah, at the outside table, on the large lovers day bed, the swing or on one of the sun beds on the beach. the villa is simply stunning. i fell in love with snorkeling at angsana. the coral and variety of fishes are simply mindblowing. the service is also excellent. we snorkeled and banyan tree and prefer the villas at angsana since they seem to offer more privacy.
Restaurant Tip:
Have dinner at Banyan Tree for some variety. Spend as much time snorkeling as possible and you will be amazed.

staff were very friendly. small hotel great friendly staff. excellent house reef with sharks, turtles and lots of fish. speedboat trip was easy and fun. hotel has just been renovated and rooms were great and amenities wonderful. outdoor bathroom great beach area outside the bedroom with swing, deck chairs, cabana. great selection of fresh fruit in the room everyday. lots of privacy and your own beach access. food was feast and reasonably priced. will definitely go back.

Great hotel and lovely staff. A little short on facilities and things to do, so would suit a short stay. The dive centre is superb and the staff are great and extremely helpful. The hotel is located as it states on the cover... 25min from the airport by speedboat. Room were fab and very well appointed, though mini bar was not stocked fully daily. We found that things were very pricey, especially soft drinks at the bar (soft drinks were same as alcohol) and sweets for children were very overpriced, though this is not unique to this hotel, many hotels in Maldives are the same. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel for short stays.

In general, the house staff is kind and helpful with good attitude. That made the stay comfortable particularly the hotel was recovering from renovation.
F&B is certainly above standard. Appreciate that the breakfast buffet is not overly done. The amount is just appropriate. The chef for the egg counter is truly the ambassador of the hotel. His name is Ali who even helped tidying up the buffets tables when he can.
The overall in-room decoration looks pretty much like a city hotel room with unnecessary details. For example, the apples placed in the checkered boxes with vivid lighting. Don't think that it is contemporary or design-oriented but trying-to-hard-to-be-fancy. I would rather expect a quality resort hotel room with more natural decoration with quality taste. Now it looks like the hotel is eager for quick money.
Sand bags along the beach front spoil the tranquility of the entire look and feel. Hope that they're only needed for a short time.
Sand on the beach (soft) and sand on the walking area in front of the villas (rough) are so much different. Feel a bit artificial when walking between the guest room front door and the restaurant & bar.
A funny request by Agoda is worth raising. Why a hotel guest need to book speedboat transfer when full payment settled right the way when booking is done? It's totally unnecessary. And the most funny thing is that the online confirmation is actually not working. It may work for delay check-in or changing the number of guest. I eventually called the hotel and only found that the hotel hadn't received money from the online agent. Upon the hotel staff's advice, I sent an email to your sales office but received zero reply up till now. Eventually, my friend helped me called the hotel again and the transportation arrangement was settled the day before we arrived. How embarrassing if I were the management of the hotel or Agoda!
Hope the hotel will keep improving the product. Good luck!
Travel tip:
Study well and pick the right hotel. However, the natural beauty of Maldives is worth going again and again even though sometimes we may have negative experience with certain hotels.
