This luxury class resort, situated on North Ari Atoll, is located 42 kilometers from the island of Male. The hotel is situated 42 kilometers from the airport, which is about 25 minutes by seaplane. The hotel offers limitless opportunities to snorkel or dive, and also includes a world-class dive school. The hotel boasts 14 Standard Bungalows, 28 Superior Rooms, 46 Beach Bungalows and 24 Water Bungalows. Except Standard Bungalows all the other rooms feature stunning views of the sapphire waters of the Indian Ocean. The hotel features an on-site restaurant that serves an ala carte menu in a lavish atmosphere. The Chaaya Reef Ellaidhoo Hotel is perfect for travelers that want an ideal holiday location.
Children and extra beds:Guests over 11 years old are considered as adults. Extra beds are dependent on the room you choose, please check the individual room policy for more details.
Seaplane Transfers Notice
To reach the resort, a shared seaplane transfer will be arranged for which a surcharge may be collected directly at resort. Your flight details and full names of your traveling party will be required at the time of booking or at least 3 days prior to your arrival. Upon receipt of your flight details the resort will organize all transfer requirements. The hotel’s airport representative will meet you at the Arrival Hall.
To secure your seat for the return transfers, it is required that you book at least 3 days in advance. Agoda nor the hotel can guarantee your transfers for bookings received on same day or within 3 days of arrival.
Seaplane transfers only fly in daylight hours.
• If your flight arrives BEFORE 3.30pm, a transfer to the hotel will be arranged same day.
• If your flight arrives AFTER 3.30pm, you will need to make arrangements to stay in Male’ overnight. A stopover in Male can be booked here: Male City Hotels and Male Intl Airport Hotels
• If your flight departs Male’ BEFORE 9.30am, you may have to check-out a day prior and stay overnight close to the airport to catch your onward flight.

We stayed there for 7 days, it went far too fast for our liking , booked a beach villa perfect location you can walk round the island in ten minutes but yet it feels much bigger and totally relaxing atmospher, this is not a five star resort nor would you want it to be, I would class this resort as Rustic with charm , perhaps some slight decorating required but not a deal breaker, snorking fantastic with turtles, eels sharks and Manta's came to visit, would we go back...yes in a heart beat....

Outstanding resort at very reasonable rates
Water bungalows with inclusive meal package

The bungalows were reasonably priced compared to other resorts. You also were entitled to dine at the pool side restaurant which has a much nicer ambiance and view of the sea and sunset. By going inclusive you don't worry about how much you are spending for meals. The cuisine was international fare catering to different tastes. The vegetables and salads were fresh; the grilled options were simple but excellent. Other prepared dishes were in warmers but of course can't compare to the entrees off the grill.
The dive center was well organized and instructors as well as the rest of the dive staff attentive. The resort is a close to incredibly beautiful reefs for different level divers.
Booked a promotional spa package for a couple. The treatments were excellent that we upgraded to a higher package. The Indonesian masseuses were exceptional, very sweet and hospitable.
The environment was casual and not pretentious. Men weren't required to wear long pants for dining but nice casual wear was appropriate.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The water bungalows were much nicer than the other resort accommodations. Perhaps we were spoiled..

The Spa comprises of 3 Double Treatment Rooms, 1 Single Treatment Room, a Manicure / Pedicure Salon and a Lounge area. One of the double rooms features walls of mirrors, creating an extraordinarily magical atmosphere and the soft, serene music enhances that already peaceful ambience, making you want to linger here as long as possible. This Spa is unique. Step in from the water onto the soft white sand inside the Spa!
Malamathi Restaurant and Bar
This restaurant serves buffet style & caters exclusively for residents of the Water Bungalows. In addition the spectacular outer deck by the pool with a view of the ocean is an al-fresco A-la-carte dining option for all, our resident guest. The fare served includes a diverse selection of fresh seafood & culinary creations of our Chefs with a selection of wines to complement this dining experience.
Madi Restaurant
Mealtime is always an enjoyable occasion at the Madi Restaurant with a wide choice of delicious spreads from around the world served buffet style for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Iruohsnee Bar
The main bar in the island, overlooking the Indian ocean, an ideal place to let a tropical cocktail melt in your hand while you take in a breathtaking sunset from the open air deck or watch the stingrays that swim in daily at around 6.30 pm, remember to have your camera with you as watching these denizens of the ocean feeding at sunset is definitely a memory worth taking back with you
