The guest house is located in the local island of Maafushi where the Government regulations require that guests do not wear bikini or similar swimwear while in the area. However, the hotel can arrange excursions to picnic islands for guests where these restrictions are not applied.
Transfer to Maafushi Hotels
To reach the hotels in Maafushi Island, a public ferryboat OR chartered speedboat can be arranged by the hotel for which payment will be collected upon check –in.
Please contact the hotel to book your transfer arrangement at least 3 days prior to your arrival. Your arrival and departure flight details and full names of traveling party will be required.
Public Ferryboat
• Ferryboat takes 90 minutes to reach Maafushi Island and costs approximately USD 2.00 per person per way.
• Ferry departs from Male’ at 15:00 hrs / Ferry departs from Maafushi Island at 07:30 hrs
• If your flight lands AFTER 13:00 hrs, you will need to take the speedboat transfer or make arrangements to stay in Male’
• NO Ferry services on Friday.
Chartered SpeedBoat
• Speedboat takes 35 minutes to reach Maafushi Island and approximately costs USD 160 - 200 per trip
• Shared speedboat transfer for a surcharge of approximately USD 30-50 per person for minimum of 5 persons group.
• Advance booking is required for speedboat transfer

A very comfortable and friendly hotel

We found the hotel on line and read the reviews before booking and found the hotel exceeded our expectations in most respects. The staff were always extremely helpful and polite. It had a great location opposite the ferry disembarkation area and showcased spectacular sunsets. Our room was large enough and a comfortable bed and effective bathroom (small negative - no soap is provided). It was a bit noisy and twice I had to open the door and ask others to keep the noise down.
The hotel provided us with beach towels and snorkelling equipment free of charge. We used the outdoor dining for a couple of dinners including an energetic cultural dance and drumming expo. The food was simple but what do you expect for only US$7! They tried to cater for differences in our breakfast menus.
We would be very happy to stay there again an(and are making plans to do so) but for the new traveller to Maldives don't waste time in Male - there is nothing to do and we did loose time waiting for the US$2 cheap ferry in the afternoon after a morning arrival. Next time I think we will invest in the fast speed boat and get more Malfushi Island time. Overall great value for money and the hotel is not claiming to be anything more than it is.

New, Clean Small Hotel on a very quiet, remote

this is a new small, family run hotel on a remote island. friendly staff, eager to please. the in house chef will cook anything you like.
you must be ready to get away from it all for a few days to stay on this island which has few tourists, a couple of accessible beaches and trips to dive, snorkel, or fish can be arranged.
public ferry is each day except friday for about 2.00 us,
no nightlife, no alcohol, no bikini's allowed on this conservative fishing island.
Travel tip:
Public Ferry is each day except Friday for about 2.00 is arranged by the Hotel, who will meet you at the Airport. If you arrive on Friday you must book another hotel in Male for the night or pay $200.00 speed boat trip.
