It took 4 hours to leave for resort in the airpor

Eriyadu resort was very unkind. They combined customers to be fulll for Speed boat. You may wait 3 hours at least, half day at longest. Eriyadu don't make boat to leave for resort till 14 passengers arrive. Though we called 3 times, they just repeated 'soon arrive'. and so we have to wait 4 hours. Eriyadu is so bad but Maldives is ever nice place, plz find another resort.

This is not a 4 star island (more a three star). The main activity is diving as the island is small and the hotel does not organize any activities during the day or the evening. The standard room are not good, the superior room are ok. The food is acceptable but more or less the same everyday.
The house reef and the diving center are great.

This small island had an excellent riff where you can many fishes, sharks and even a turtle. The room was spacious and clean, with even a bathtub and a open roof shower. The buffet was ok. Full board is without drinks though. The cafe has a nice view over the gorgious blue sea.

A quiet place for mostly couples and families.

Eriyadu is a very nice resort in the North Male Atoll, 40 mins by speedboat from the airport. The resort has beautifully designed beach bungalows with access to the beach and water from each bungalow. The restaurant serves a huge buffet with great variety. The snorkelling on the house reef is superb. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Perfect snorkeling reef let down by average rooms
The reef and beach is perfect and you don't have to go anywhere on trips.

The reef and beach is perfect and you don't have to go anywhere on trips just float around in the perfect water and see some great coral.. The superior rooms were old and shabby with 1980s bathroom and CRT tv. We had to pay another 30$ to upgrade to a refurb room. Beakfast dinner and lunch provided was acceptable but typical of all you can eat places. There is zero nightlife so bed early to get up and swim. Boat ride there was pricey but it was an hour in a speedboat at high speed.
We really loved the location and the coral and left feeling like we had seen a piece of paradise.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Make sure it's a refurb room.

We are a copule visited Eriyadu on end of September 2012.
Rooms: Nice, cleanliness, our room was 3 meters from the beach (most of the rooms are). But a bit old, shower needs renovation. Also we had ants all the time in the shower (shower in all the rooms is outside the room in the open air).
Staff: Employees are very nice, we very enjoyed our stay. Don't forget to prepare tips... because they expect it.
+ Nice rooms, nice food, nice staff.
- The corals are now in a bad situation, not as former visitors wrote.
- On the first days we were eaten alive by bugs...You should expect it- it was the biggest issue that hurt our stay.
- Come prepraed just to nothing, as there are not many attractions on the island- good for honeymoons, bad for children.
In short: the hotel is worth the money. No other hotel we looked gives you the same for that price. we recomend All Inclusive, as there is no other choice where to eat but the restaurant of the hotel.
Shopping Tip:
Come prepared to spend 4$ for a bottle of water (1.5L).
