Wonderful house reef, less than average rooms

Our stay was quite pleasant due to the fact that we only expected to relax and snorkel. The house reef was amazing, we were able to see three kinds of sharks, sea turle, one manta, and lots of different kinds of fish and stingrays. I was quite dissapointed with hotel rooms, which didn't meet my expectations at all, there was a mould under the sink, wall was peeling off in a few places in the room and I generally didn't expect that I wouldn't see the sea from beach front hotel. Even though we were quite disappointed with the overall quality of the room, our room boy created nice towel creations on our bed every day, so it always made the room more nice and acceptable. On the other hand, we came here to relax, sunbathe and snorkel, therefore the room wasn't such an issue, but for the money we paid, we just expected something more.Also I would like to also comment on the staff, who was nice, even though it didn't meet the western standards (slow, problems with English and so on), they were helpful, smiling and nice!

these hotels are good for the travelers who likes to do swimming,snorkeling,night fishing and diving.

We stayed for more than 7 days around the Christmas and New Year of 2012 - 2013.
I short, it is a nice place and the staff are generally pretty kind. But we booked at the last minute and paid for full rate and I don't think it is worth at this price range. But if you can book at good rate, it is a fairy nice place.
Delux Beach Bungalow is close to the hotel reception. The building was a bit old, and the bathroom was not really modern. It had a good air-conditioner, it had one smallish LCD TV of 30-40 ". Shower facility outside. It has many mozzies.
Bar/ cafe was basic with sand floor. Wifi is only available here. I think a capucino was 6 dollars and it was more close to cholate and coffee mixture. Heinken stubbie was $4.50.
Restaurant was basic too. 3 meals were all buffet. I cannot say too much because the food were really basic but I was hungery and I actually enjoyed meals.
There are scuba and snorkling course with kayak and small dingies for hire. Of course some more... Snorkling was quite ok near jetty.
There were day fishing, night fishing, islands hopping, Male trip etc...
Overall again, not too bad place at all but no luxury place and staff were kind but almost amateur level service to me. Staff's English command was generally very poor.
I think it can be a good place if you can book at good rate with advance booking.
Shall I go back again? Probably not. I may want shorter stay at more price places....
Hotel Feature Tip:
It can be very noisy if you have a room too close to the bar, especially during some party seasons like Christmas or New Year.

Family friendly island, some beautiful beaches

A relatively large island for Maldives, located 45 minutes by boat from Male. The island has something for everyone - a house reef, some lovely stretches of beach, a great bar and restaurant, and very welcoming and helpful staff. A very safe and welcoming environment for families with small children. There are no water villas, and the room rates are very reasonable, so would not recommend this island for those seeking a "high end" Maldives experience, for example honeymooners. But that said, you still get beautiful beaches and waters, and access to a picturesque deserted island neighbouring the resort, so even those on a budget can still experience idyllic Maldives.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The resort operates a free daily boat transfer to the neighbouring Robinson's Island, a small, picturesque deserted island. Well worth visiting - Maldives the way it should be.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Our hotel room wasn't cleaned until 6pm which didn't do us any good since we were only there for 2 nights. The staff needs to get some training on hospitality - I wouldn't stay at this resort even if they gave me a complinentary night.

This was our first time to Maldives and we've left it with mixed feelings. Yes, it is clear that you get what you pay for but the overall impression was - "this is our first and last time on Maldives". For us - it just doesn't cut it.
The biggest gripe - is unfriendly and sometimes even rude staff (compared to Thailand, for example). Everything is restricted - don't swim here, don't swim there, don't do this, don't do that.
You are pretty much limited to snorkling (or diving), 2 hours ride around nearby islands or to see dolphins (where you, again, can't swim) and this is basically it.
Restaurant menu is pretty much basic. Almost no seafood whatsoever.
I can't imagine going back to Maldives - for this money there are so many other better places. Not exactly a 100% Fun Island fault - but they have definitely played their role.
The only good words can be said about Said - out room made. He has very friendly and helpful. A very positive experience.
