Wonderful stay at Gangehi

I had a wonderful trip to Gangehi as a solo female traveler. The island was beyond gorgeous, the staff was friendly and wonderful, and the diving was out of this world. I cannot rate it highly enough, would return in a second.

Little gem in the ocean: staff make the difference

you will see gangehi from the plane: it is a tiny island nested in an incredibly beautiful lagoon. right from your arrival in the island you feel the warmth and friendliness of all the staff. they really make the difference ! although i stayed in a club room, which is the lowest room category, i thought the accommodation was nice and the room was comfortable. the food (mediterranean) was absolutely fantastic with a wide choice of pastas, fish and meat as well as salads and some mouth watering desserts. the three italian chefs and the entire kitchen team were super friendly. the island has a library with thousands of books a beautiful spa (located in a group of old and beautifully restored indian wooden houses). you will also find a boutique with two taylors who will be able to reproduce any model of your liking and a great diving centre. gangehi's lagoon is home to giant manta rays for most of the year and thousands of other beautiful fish. a marine biologist will take you snorkeling and explain the secret wonders of the indian ocean. what i liked most is the atmosphere here: the staff make you really feel special and from the moment you arrive you feel at home in gangehi !
Hotel Feature Tip:
enjoy a drink at sunset and a romantic dinner in thari the lagoon restaurant and if you can spend at least a night in an de luxe over water villa - i saw one and they are fantastic !

I only stayed for 2 nights but I had wonderful days there.
Stuffs are very friendly. They remember each guests which room we are staying, when we are coming and leaving. It was miracle.
Everyday, I felf very comfortable even I stay there by myself. I have people whom I can talk to.
I difinetly wanna back here!!

Room was simple, functional and clean. Food is really good and I loved the fact that I see the same staff everyday thus making the service more personal. They are not invasive and know how to distance themselves when needed.

ดีใจที่เลือกโรงแรมนี้ ไม่ผิดหวังเลย ราคาก็ไม่แพงจนเกินไปถ้าเทียบกับเกาะอื่นๆในมัลดิฟ ชายหาดสวยดำน้ำดูปลาสนุก มีปลาสวยๆมากมาย อาหารอร่อยมาก ยกครัวอิตาเลี่ยนมาโดยเฉพาะ ต้องกลับไปอีกแน่นอนค่ะ

Отель не заслуживает 5 звезд. Максимум это 3 звезды по моей оценке. Все в мини-баре платное. Наборов для чая нет, чайника нет. Напитки в мини-баре стоят в 2 раза дороже, чем в баре. Второе неприятное открытие-отсутствие в ванной комнате таких принадлежностей как шапочка для душа, зубная паста, ватные палочки, зубная щетка. Во всех отелях, в которых я когда-либо останавливалась у меня это было! Шампунь, бальзам и лосьон для тела наливаются в керамические бутылочки с пробкой. Дается 1 кусочек мыла на все время проживания и 1 маленькая мочалочка, величиной меньше детского кулачка. Больше не обновляется. Если вы едите туда на базе завтраков, то покушать нигде в отеле у вас нормально не получится:ресторан работает с 7.30, выбор блюд ограничивается 10-15 позициями за цены такие как будто готовил повар с 3-мя звездами мешлена. В баре днем только 4 варианта "еды" за бешенные деньги: моцарелла с томатами, сэндвич с тунцом, овощи нарезанные с тертой морковкой с ложкой тунца и какой-то пирог дня. апгрейд до полного пансиона стоит 1/2 стоимости проживания в день(на человека). Экскурсии скучные и неинтересные, дорогие. Обучение дайвингу дорогое. Из плюсов - приятный персонал, хороший пляж и домашний риф. Если есть места - тебя переселят в лучшую комнату, а потом обратно в твою.Бесплатный интернет только на ресепшене.
