Seaplane Transfers Notice
To reach the resort, a shared seaplane transfer will be arranged for which a surcharge may be collected directly at resort. Your flight details and full names of your traveling party will be required at the time of booking or at least 3 days prior to your arrival. Upon receipt of your flight details the resort will organize all transfer requirements. The hotel’s airport representative will meet you at the Arrival Hall.
To secure your seat for the return transfers, it is required that you book at least 3 days in advance. Agoda nor the hotel can guarantee your transfers for bookings received on same day or within 3 days of arrival.
Seaplane transfers only fly in daylight hours.
• If your flight arrives BEFORE 3.30pm, a transfer to the hotel will be arranged same day.
• If your flight arrives AFTER 3.30pm, you will need to make arrangements to stay in Male’ overnight. A stopover in Male can be booked here: Male City Hotels and Male Intl Airport Hotels
• If your flight departs Male’ BEFORE 9.30am, you may have to check-out a day prior and stay overnight close to the airport to catch your onward flight.

Basic resort with really bad management

Don't go to this resort if you are concerned about your safety. My wife was threatened by another guest of the resort while she was enjoying the morning by the beach near the pool/bar area. She was taking her own photo using a Smart phone's front camera when a couple walked in, and the man came to threaten her with an order "no photo." I stepped in and tried to explain that my wife was taking her own photo, but the the man did not listen. I was calling out for security, but no staff came to intervene. Only after about 10 minutes the (non-Maldivian) general manager came. Without listening to me, the GM accused me of being aggressive. The GM ordered me to forget the incident and threatened to call the police. When I asked him to please call the police, I wanted the police to come since I was asking for security but no one came. The GM then stopped talking about callng the police and walked away irresponsibly. I have been to Maldives over 10 times in the last 5 years. This is the worst experience I have had.
The room is very basic with air conditioning and open bathroom. Marine life is good with sharks, turtles, lobsters, fish to be spotted. However, the coral reef is mostly damaged; small spots of new corals are only appearing here and there.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Bring your fins for the snorkeling since the current is quite strong.

Due to Helengeli's location on the outer reef the unspoiled house reef is just off the beach, easily accessible for snorkelling and divers. Some of the best dive sites, such as the Helengeli Thila, are also found near Helengeli. The dive school is run by Ocean Pro and equipped with the best modern equipment. Experienced, multilingual European diving instructors teach PADI courses up to internationally accepted diving certificates of different levels. Twice a day diving excursions to some of the 36 dive sites nearby Helengeli are arranged, some as close as 5 minutes.
