Important Notice

The guest house is located in the local island of Maafushi where the Government regulations require that guests do not wear bikini or similar swimwear while in the area. However, the hotel can arrange excursions to picnic islands for guests where these restrictions are not applied.

Transfer to Maafushi Hotels

To reach the hotels in Maafushi Island, a public ferryboat OR chartered speedboat can be arranged by the hotel for which payment will be collected upon check –in.
Please contact the hotel to book your transfer arrangement at least 3 days prior to your arrival. Your arrival and departure flight details and full names of traveling party will be required.

Public Ferryboat
• Ferryboat takes 90 minutes to reach Maafushi Island and costs approximately USD 2.00 per person per way.
• Ferry departs from Male’ at 15:00 hrs / Ferry departs from Maafushi Island at 07:30 hrs
• If your flight lands AFTER 13:00 hrs, you will need to take the speedboat transfer or make arrangements to stay in Male’
• NO Ferry services on Friday.

Chartered SpeedBoat
• Speedboat takes 35 minutes to reach Maafushi Island and approximately costs USD 160 - 200 per trip
• Shared speedboat transfer for a surcharge of approximately USD 30-50 per person for minimum of 5 persons group.

Groups Netherlands, January 12, 2013	a new, but overpriced way to experience maldives new and clean rooms 6 We had planned a break in our holidays in sri Lanka and went to the Maldives, staying over at a hotel on an inhabitated island. Although the rooms were good, they were right next to the former main prison, now in use as a rehabilitation centre, and overlooking a beach that has been largely destroyed by the 2004 tsunami. Upon arrival we found that the TV, shared refrigerator, and catamaran were broken. Only after asking about five times, did the hotel manager - who was actually a really nice guy - come up with a laptop on which we could watch a movie. Service wasn't really good either - and we missed the generosity and smile we couldn't get enough from on the neighbouring main island sri Lanka. The island maafushi itself isn't a great place to be. Fortunately we had the ability and money to go on some excursions for snorkeling, diving, night fishing and we visited a nearby island resort too. However the hotels on the island have a strange way of managing excursions for customers: in principle tourists are not allowed to join other boats from 'competing' hotels for excursions. This monopoly means that if you're traveling as a couple you pay far more than necessary for excursions. We decided not to obey this 'rule' and managed to join up with some really great tourists we met on the island - which was also a lot more fun! All in all we made the most of our stay, but we had to be quite creative at times. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Go to: The sandbank Night fishing Bayidhu resort Dive centre closest to the harbour
