good location, excellent service.
very handy for airport and male
9
i am not a resort kind of traveller but we decided to stay one night here at the end of a dive safari. an excellent choice as only 10 minutes from the airport. the service is excellent and they have thought of almost every little detail. good value for money as well compared to other resorts in the area. even though when we went it was 97% full it did not feel crowded at all.
almost all of the rooms face the beach with the exception of the garden villa with jacuzzi that we had although this in itself is exceptionally nice and worth the extra $16 over a deluxe.
not much else to do but laze around on the pristine beaches and swim but perfect for a night or two before or after a flight out or in to the maldives.
Hotel Feature Tip:
be sure to take advantage of the deluxe champagne breakfast for an extra $15. breakfast overlooking the beach with endless piper heidseck champagne. not bad seeing as only one glass from the bar normally costs $18 on it's own!

Great service
Service, rooms, snorkeling, distance from Male
9.3
i like this resort. great service, many little things are included in price, friendly and sociable personal in restaurants. managers in lobby speaks in many languages.
we were couple + friend at extra-bed. big rooms, nice beach and excellent ocean.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Some shortcomings. Very many airplanes near, ugly stone "embankment" around the island. Too many loud chinese families :)

Big room and easy access right to the beach

i had 3 nights in kurumba and it is absolutely fantastic stay for me and my family. the room is big enough to host 3 people. it is about 5 meters away from the water. the water is so nice and good for snorkelling. the hotel has 7 or 8 different restaurants with different cuisines (chinese, indian, arabian, italian, japanese, etc.).

Nice weather there. Perfect for snorkeling
8.7
overall the service there is quite good. they really value every customer. rooms are new and clean. breakfast buffet is nice. will be nicer if the orange juice isn't concentrated. doesnt recommend japanese restaurant.
Nightlife Tip:
Nowhere to go after dinner on the island but can watch stars and listen to the ocean.

Lovely resort and staff very friendly and helpful

The location is beautiful so it is hard not to have a great time in the Maldives. I went with my sister but it was disappointing that they didn't organise 2 twin beds for us. My sister was set up on a small day bed under the a.c which she had to sleep in for 5 nights
Restaurant Tip:
Try to book half board. I tried to negotiate a rate when I got there as only b/fast was included in the Agoda rate but they basically wanted to charge me the full half board rate again without making any concessions for us

we are so happy during stay at kurumba, we went there for our honeymoon, 4 days 3 nights, the food is delicious, the place is quiet.. its so perfect for honeymooners.. but still awesome if go there with a family, full of activities you can do at kurumba.. city tour, fishing, snorkeling, diving, and kurumba also have a sport center, you can play tennis, you can gym, ..our room is facing the sea, just a step to sun-bathing at the beach.. enjoying the sunset.. :) overall, kurumba is a great hotel.. for the price we paid, is well-worth.. :) thanks kurumba ! :)
Restaurant Tip:
you should try ocean grill restaurant.. delicious !

good room service
good and fresh grilled seafood
9
1. Very good service and employees seem nice
2. Don't recommend Japanese restaurant. Expensive, bad food , bad service. We asked for more tea and didn't get any refill till we left. Food is far from good. However, the ocean grill and Arabic restaurant are quite good. we had jumbo grilled seafood and lamb grills. Was well cooked and worthy the price.
3. If you want to have coconut juice, you have to order a day before. Very strange.
4. Free internet in the room but a bit slow.
5. Free borrow for snorkeling equipment
6. Don't need to buy magnets, maldives books or maps there. At the airport departure shop is cheaper.
7. Free and nice romantic candlelit honeymoon dinner
8. Free one hour guided snorkeling every day at house reef
9. Rooms or bungalows on sand bar beach seem nicer because of the wider beach area
10. Close to the airport. Can save money for seaplane trip but can also hear some plane noise
11. They do take complaints or opinions serious and can feel they want to please every customer
12. Snorkeling outside of the barriers is better with a lot more fish to see. Amazing
Shopping Tip:
Same books maps magnets are cheaper at airport departure shop

Brilliant hotel with amazing staff
Very considerate staff, very beautiful room and hotel
8.7
everything was great during our stay. our 15 month old had a ball and we got upgraded to a beach bungalow that allowed us to sit on the beach while he slept in the afternoon. we also used their babysitting service one night and marsha was great.
only thing i would advise against is the scuba diving. total waste of money and "momo" is the worst dive buddy on the planet. he hardly showed me anything of interest and cut my dive short on both the lagoon dive and the open water dive. i tried to tell him i was willing to go on but he didnt care. i have been diving in australia and hawaii and this was by far the worst experience i have ever had. complete waste and would recommend you not go diving with momo.

truly the best hotel we ever stayed in
9.7
Ok, the price per night is the highest we have ever paid for a hotel room, but from there you will understand the reason for the high price. They provide free water, snorkeling equipment, many complementary programs. The prices are ok, I expected (and heard from my friends) that this small monopoly islands rip you off, however the prices were not cheap but on an understandable level from a 5 star hotel.

An absolutely amazing honeymoon
The villas are absolutely great. Service is super, The speciality resturants are amazing. The full array of water sports just adds to the experience.

The hotel made our honeymoon extra special with a free upgrade of villa, complementrey candle lit dinner at the beach, free cocktails etc etc. We simple loved our stay.
Restaurant Tip:
You should go on B&B package so that you could visit the other specialty restaurants at the hotel which ranges from Italian, Lebanese, Indian to Chinese. The cuisine at these are absolutely amazing.
