Lily Beach was probably one of the best experiences I had so far in terms of relaxing and romantic Holidays. oNLY REASON IT DIDNT GET A 10/10 is because it would have been better if it wasnt as expensive as it was. 15-% off please?
Upon arrival at Male airport to arrival at the resort, the 5-star experience started there. We were warmly greeted and provided canapes, fruits, drinks and cold towels once we arrived.
he resort was very well maintained like you would expect from a 5 star resort, the paths always clean, forget about taking shoes the sand paths are much more inviting for bare feet or flip flops, staff constantly doing small maintenance jobs to keep everything tidy and any disturbance to the guests to a minimum, the beaches always clean, with sunbeds always ready with towels, and best of all, no mosquitoes whatsoever. A final word for the staff that was always very courteous and friendly, from the girls at the reception to the people doing the daily maintenance and working on the restaurants or bars, everybody was wonderful making us feel welcomed.
The Villa - Amazing, there is nothing like walking into these villas and looking through the glass floor to the fish swimming underneath.
Lily Maa, main restaurant - from breakfast to theme night dinners were mouth-watering.Great job to Jalil - the head waiter who took care of us for 8 days!
vibes and Aqva bar - serves alacarte lunch. great options.
The Spa - We went there twice and both times it was very easy to schedule. It was so relaxing, and once we were even "greeted" by a school of lively coloured fish that was swimming underneath us throughout the massage, just perfect.
All in all, and like I said in the beginning of my review, one of the best experiences I had so far in terms of relaxing and romantic Holidays, and one I plan to repeat in the future

we enjoyed 6 nights at this beautiful island resort - reached by sea plane! an amazing resort - with friendly staff and everything inclusive - made this a honeymoon to remember. i don't think we could have chosen better.

a paradise for honeymooner

After a research we chose lily beach as our honeymoon destination and to celebrate my husband's birthday.
lily beach is an all-inclusive resort, so we didnt have to worry about food and drinks.
we requested an earliest seaplane transfer, reached the resort at 6:30am, very lucky we could check in our villa at 7am, felt like we earned an extra day!!
we spent 4N in logoon villa, the whole resort only has 16 lagoon villas, it was perfect for us, clean and nice design. minibar has chips, cashew, soft drinks, beers and a bottle of wine (abit disappointed). the villa faces to the lagoon, can directly access to the house reef and snorkel. the house reef quality under our villa is good compare with the others, fishes were swimming around. only fussy about the open bathroom cos i read a review said the staff were picking coconuts up in the treetop when showering
lily maa provides 3 buffet meals a day, breakfast buffet are always the same every day. dinner buffet has 7 themes every weeks, it was average. we didnt try lunch buffet in lily maa but highly recommend you to have lunch in vibes bar & aqva pool bar which located in two ends of the resort. these 2 bars provide the yummiest food! must try! tamarind is a thai+chinese+india cuisine (4 courses) restaurant with delicate layout, guests can enjoy once free per stay. but didnt fit our appetite at all
We joined 2 free excursions, coral garden snorkeling and sunset fishing. both were so much fun. we saw octopus, marta rays, turtle, heaps of colorful fishes and corals. we are not keen on swimming but fearless with life vests on. for the fishing trip, you can enjoy your fishes next day at lunch but we couldnt cos we departed next day before lunch
Overall I was not very satisfied with the performance of the services and housekeeping, especially the drop off guests service (like you are not their guest anymore after you checked out), they can do it better. I only rate it 3.5 stars
fyi, 50% were asian guests in our stay

All Inclusive package was really 'All Inclusive'it was excellent.
I would only stay in the Water Villas the other accomodation just doesn't compare.

Great house reef for snorkeling

We chose Lily Beach for the easily accessible house reef which is just off the beach, a few metres at some points. Besides the dropoff, there are coral patches in the lagoon area, so if you're not confident about snorkeling at the dropoff where the currents are stronger and waters deeper, there's still lots of fishes and coral to see. And most parts of the lagoon the water's just waist deep. Guided snorkeling by the water sports center is available on some days, or you can always drop by to see if anybody's free to bring you out if you're a beginner. Rooms were lovely and well maintained. Food was adequate for a buffet with great variety, but not exactly fantastic. Service was ok, a bit off at some points, not exactly the "warm and going the extra mile to make guests happy" type that you expect from the very top end resorts. So for the price, I guess Lily's ok.

we spent 4 nights and 5 days (our honeymoon) at the lily beach resort. its an outstanding property, good rooms & good service. though the open bathrooms can be challenging, the overall experience is wow!
