Set in a remote corner of South Ari Atol, this amazing slice of heaven is very popular with couples and dive enthusiasts alike. The resort is just 25 minutes by seaplane from Male Airport and houses 50 wonderfully crafted bungalows located directly on the beach and feature king sized beds, a terraced area with sun loungers and a garden bathroom area where guests can relax in the tub and gaze at the truly stunning surroundings. The resorts comprehensive dive center is internationally registered and offers guests the chance to earn their PADI license in one of the most beautiful dive areas in the world.There is also a stunning array of massages and holistic treatments available at the Duniye Spa. The Vakarufalhi Island Resort includes the IIaa Restaurant which serves fresh seafood and international favorites in a tranquil paradise setting.
Please note that children are welcome in the Beach Villas. Guests from 12 years and older are welcome in the Water Villas.
The resort does not allow children below 12 years old to stay in the Water Villa for safety reasons. Please note that this hotel operates exclusive contracts with other vendors to service specific markets and thus these rates do not apply to nationals of Italy, Switzerland. Seaplane Transfers Notice
To reach the resort, a shared seaplane transfer will be arranged for which a surcharge may be collected directly at resort. Your flight details and full names of your traveling party will be required at the time of booking or at least 3 days prior to your arrival. Upon receipt of your flight details the resort will organize all transfer requirements. The hotel’s airport representative will meet you at the Arrival Hall.
To secure your seat for the return transfers, it is required that you book at least 3 days in advance. Agoda nor the hotel can guarantee your transfers for bookings received on same day or within 3 days of arrival.
Seaplane transfers only fly in daylight hours.
• If your flight arrives BEFORE 3.30pm, a transfer to the hotel will be arranged same day.
• If your flight arrives AFTER 3.30pm, you will need to make arrangements to stay in Male’ overnight. A stopover in Male can be booked here: Male City Hotels and Male Intl Airport Hotels
• If your flight departs Male’ BEFORE 9.30am, you may have to check-out a day prior and stay overnight close to the airport to catch your onward flight.

This was our first time to visit Maldives. There are 2 must conditions on the trip; 1) staying in a water villa with all inclusive packages and 2) taking seaplane. This resort, Vakarufalhi, seems to perfectly fit to what we wanted as well as very good comments and rating here so we decided to choose this hotel. Due to the only short holiday, we had 1 night stay in Male and only 2 nights here and we booked the full board plus water villa room via agoda like 2-3 months in advance to secure the room.
We had finally arrived after a long flight. Everything seems to be perfect but once we checked in, we had been informed that we had been DOWNGRADED to beach villa at the second night and the resort offered us a free excursion to compensate. But I would stay only 2 nights and water villa is the reason why we were here. So I told them that we were uncomfortable to be downgraded into beach villa. It seems the reception would have understood that so she brought us to the room. After 10 mins passed, we got a call from the reception that the resort had NO OPTION for us not to downgrade and this is a MUST.
We were very polite and we did understand the resort facing a difficulty and the receptionist had already called us to apologize, but we still think that this was rude and unacceptable not informing us in advance
