The best choice

we spend 3 days 2 night on jacuzzi water villa and upgrade to inclusive plus.. oh my god it is the best choice to stay here. we snorkleling ..see baby shark. beautiful house reef. fish..... and the villa so nice it's comfort although we have 3 person . extra bed is ok. room is clean. bar is nice. and smile people here.. spa is good. we go to spa for. 1 hours .. oh relax place

Best holiday yet

It was our first time to Maldives and we packed our luggage with high expectations. Vilamendhoo has indeed met our expectations, if not more!
Other than a minor miscom about our room booking (we booked Water Villa but had to stay in the Beach Villa for our first night, bummer), everything else was wonderful. We love the sea and the ease of snorkeling around the lagoon. For someone who is not so good at swimming, I really enjoyed the snorkeling experience. The current was manageable (but of course tiring to swim against!) and the amount of corals and sea creatures in the lagoon were magnificent.
The only complaint that we have is that the food from the buffet line are so good, we actually grew heavier after our 6 days there! Check out the roast beef and curries, they're awesome. Our waiter, Jameel was also friendly and helpful who always serve us with a smile. He has definitely made our stay more enjoyable.
We signed up for the all-inclusive package (AIP) and it was the best decision ever cos' once you have the AIP tag with you, you do not have to worry about paying for our expenses there since everything has already been paid for. We enjoyed having free flow drinks (my fiance loved his daily intake of alcohol at Vila) and sandwiches at the bar while we did some reading, we did our 1hr free kayaking where we almost kayaked around the island, we also went to use the gym for free to lose the amount of fat that we got from the awesome food at the buffet, and we went for the free Sunset Cruise where we had dolphins swimming next to our boat! We were really lucky that day :)
Vilamendhoo is definitely worth the money you pay for and we can't wait to go back there again!
Hotel Feature Tip:
1) Do email the staff and confirm your booking with them a week before your trip to avoid any miscom with them
2) Bring your own toothbrush & toothpaste, because the hotel doesn't provide any. We learnt it the hard way
3) Book the Water Villa if you want privacy, book the Beach Villa if you want to be near the beach (it's literally outside your room)
4) Sign up for the AIP, definitely worth it!

This place is paradise!

We loved our stay at Vilamendhoo for our Honeymoon.
The resort is not over-crowded and you seldom see or hear children.
The staff are professional and friendly. Upon our arrival we were informed that there has been a duplicate booking and we will only be able to stay in our Water Villa from the second night onwards. We were booked into a Beach Villa for the first night and we received the room difference in credit to our account. Both the Beach Villa and the Water Villa were lovely - although I would certainly recommend the Water Villa.
The food was great in the buffet restaurants with a lovely variety of tastes and flavours.
The house reef is definately a selling point for Vilamendhoo and it took our breaths away to snorkel there during our stay.
The resort is well-staffed, clean and a wonderful relaxing place. The Spa is expensive but very lovely.
We will certainly return to Vilamendhoo.

We spent one week on vilamendhoo on our honeymoon. We stayed in a jacuzzi water villa which was lovely. The jacuzzi was great, although it kept turning on by itself. there are stairs straight into the ocean which is brilliant. Go snorkeling on the house reef as soon as you can! You see so much wildlife. The water is so clear you can see stingrays, reef sharks, parrot fish and squid just walking on the jetty. There is a floodlight onto the water at night so you can sit on the steps and just watch the fish. Very peaceful and relaxing.
The food is good although some of the dessert looked a lot better than it tasted!
The seaplane was very smooth and the journey went quickly.
It wasn't perfect, our speakers didnt work and we weren't given hand soap until our second day, but the staff were quite responsive.
The spa isn't cheap but was one of the highlights for us.
We saw more snorkeling than on our dives!

My room No is 190. I was bitten by flea severely on 06/04 and 06/05. Itching made me difficult to sleep. Condition became better when everything was renewed in my room. My friends (Room No 171 )was also bitten on 06/08. Take acre of flea. Other things are good!!

Great house reef and excrusion trips

I spent a whole day to snorkle and freedive around the island last week. The house reef is absolutely beautiful. Saw a lot of fish, colorful corals, turtle, little rays, even a squid (if it was) partly hide in a rock and watched at me.
Apart from that, the excursion trips were wonderful. I swimmed with a five-meter whale shark for about 200 meters. We also found mantas and turtles on Thursday trip. We might have been very lucky.

The Jacuzzi Water Villa was an awesome experience. In the villa you felt very secluded and isolated from the other guests. It was well worth the money.
The island itself was also very nice and the staff were kind and friendly.
Our 'all inclusive' was included free when we booked, but I think you pay about per day per person. Im not convinced that this is worth the money if you had to pay for it. A beer is about $6, so you would struggle to drink a day if you aren't a big drinker. The white wine was also terrible!
We were there 10days and I think this was a great length of time. 1 week is too short.
Diving and the dive center where both fantastic also.
