Long wait at airport for hotel transfer

Upon arrival at the ariport, we were greeted by hotel staff and were told to wait for 15min to gather other guests. The 15-min wait ended up 1.5hours. Halfway waiting and exhausted from the night flight, I asked the staff how far the hotel is from the airport and since it's very near, can they bring us to the hotel and then return to airport for other staff - no answers from them. After seating us in the coach, there was a lot of loud talking amongst the 5-6 staffs and we were still not moving until anohter couple came onboard about 15min later. During this period, there was no explanation for the staff of what was going on.
Hotel check-in was quick. Room is small. Breakfast is bare minimum with bread, cereal and drinks. The airport transfer form this hotel is much better this time as they got a cab to drive us to the airport.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The beach in front on the hotel is worth going to if you're interested in live sea shells.

Good location but small room

It is a small hotel with tiny rooms. But the hotel people are friendly and reponsile. They waited for about an hour to pick up the last passenger. Of cource we who arrived earlier had to wait together with them at the airport. They woke us up in the early next morning, served very simple breakfast and sent us to the seaplane counter where we were transfered to the resort inland on time.
It was a smooth and pleasant experience which went beyond our expectation.
I would like to recomment Loona Hotel to everyone who need a timely pick up and drop in the airport for transit purpose and an overnight stay.

Clean hotel with courteous staff
Clean rooms which were nicely decorated, helpful staff to carry our bags up 4 flights of stairs, the staff helped us organise our transfer to the next resort

it was a short overnight stay for us before our transfer to another resort hotel on another island. overall it was value for money with clean rooms and air-conditioning.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Try to avoid the rooms on top floor as outside is the breakfast room and you get woken up early by clanging of cutlery, etc. Breakfast is simple but staff need to learn to offer coffee, tea, etc. The hotel uses airport express taxis for transfers rather than its own private transport.

it was a great place to stop over for a couple of hours especially if you are waiting for the seaplane in the morning. staff are really friendly and helpful to co-ordinate your seaplane right. all in all no complains and definitely recommend for your consideration

Good hotel for a short stay

We stayed it this hotel because of its proximity to the airport. Hulhumalé is a 10 minutes drive from the Male International Airport. Staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean but rather small and the area is very quiet. It is good for an overnight before heading to another island. The hotel offers all the amenities that you would expect like satellite TV, Wi-Fi etc. Breakfast is okay.

not really great location, its near the airport, we arrived male about midnight, we wait about half hour to get the loona taxi, and all way long to the hotel, its so dark, .. but loona is still okay for visitors midnight flight, the room is clean and nice design, but the breakfast is not really good.. just a simple breakfast.. our room is on the 3rd or 4th floor (forget), no elevator, but still okay :) overall, loona is great.. thanks loona :)

The pick up man from Loona hotel was very punctual, helpful, and friendly. He asked us where we were gonna stay the next day and he knew exactly where the airport resort counter is and what time the assemble time is. The next morning he arranged a taxi and went to the airport with us. Even the room is a bit small but it's not a bad place to stay over night if you have been flying for a long time to get to male. it is not too far from the airport.
