Remember where you are and why you've chosen to go
Staff were extreamly helpful and curtious. The food and atmosphere was great. The facilities were well kept
After too much $$ for too little over most of Myanmar we decided to pay $50 more for a lot more extra. Well worth it.

Exploring Mandalay
Pool, rooms
We chose this hotel after reading reviews and were not disappointed. The rooms were clean adequate in size and bathrooms had overhead shower. The main drawback for this hotel is the distance from central Mandalay. In order to visit other areas, go out for dinner etc a taxi was required. Unlike in other parts of Asia there are no tuk tuks or similar, or cruising taxis. Therefore the hotel had to book a taxi and the driver would take you to your restaurant wait and take you back. Although this was not hugely expensive the cost could easily be greater than the meal, dependant on the choice of restaurant. We like to walk and explore a new town and this was just not possible. The hotel is very close to Mandalay Hill and this can easily be reached on foot and worth the climb. If I was o return to Mandalay I would choose a more central hotel

Great location and breakfast
Stayed 2 nights at end of February. Enjoyed our stay here. Great location within short walk to bottom of Mandalay Hill and the 40minute walk to the top for sunset, also there is a local bar at the bottom if you ask they will rustle up a cold Myanmar. If you like walking it is easy to walk to the main pagodas and the Palace if you have staminer. Recommend the evening BBQ and entertainment in the gardens. Otherwise you can book a short taxi ride into town to a restaurant and the driver will wait.

Good location near Mandalay Hill
Very friendly staff, excellent pool area and gym.
Very pleased with the hotel overall. The room was somewhat dated and could do with a bit of modernisation, but it was clean and tidy with a good view over the pool towards Mandalay Hill. The staff are extremely pleasant and very helpful. The food was excellent and the bar area is also very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Best hotel in Mandalay!
The gym, the staff service and the location
This hotel was better than many brand name hotels we've stayed in around the world. The rooms are not decadent but they are certainly clean and comfortable. The property itself is quite pretty - especially the pool and bar area. The hotel is quiet (warning: some front facing rooms are next to a nearby disco which can be noisy at night) and right down the street from Mandalay Hill. The gym is updated and spacious so if you want more exercise than walking 10 miles a day climbing pagoda stairs, check it out. The restaurant food was varied (offering both buffet and a la carte menus) and you can get a decent cappuccino or latte here. What makes this property special is really the location. You cannot beat it and the surrounding local neighborhoods, temples and families. One recommendation: skip the nearby zoo. It's terribly sad.
