Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Lovely characterful hotel
Views from the roof terrace at sunset
7.3
I stayed here with my daughter and we found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The room was clean and everything worked. We enjoyed the view from our bedroom, watching crows in the trees and we particularly recommend going up to the roof terrace at sunset. Beware the price of gin and tonics which cost as much as our meal! There was a lady playing the Burmese harp throughout the meal which created a gentle atmosphere and enhanced our first evening in Burma.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Ignore the advice of the guide books and make sure you go into the Sula Paya.

Great location
The hotel staff were nice and friendly

The hotel staff were nice and friendly. Their room are clean and can sleep nice at their hotel bed. The air-conditioner are old but still can functioning well. However, there is a problem that their hot water may suddenly not functioning while you are bathing. The hotel night view are very good at their roof top. You can order some drinks and foods at the roof top while you are enjoying the night view.

Good Location
Walking distance to Shwedagon Pagoda
8.7
Breakfast is provided and is basic, however, the warming trays were not switched on so the eggs etc are cold and very unpalatable. I had electrical problems with my room but that is life in Myanmar. Wifi was reliable most of the time.
Restaurant Tip:
Noodle restaurant one block up in the same street is so good.

Great location, reasonable price, clean rooms, nice breakfast with friendly staffs. One more thing that I really like it, on the top of the hotel has wonderful bar with Schwedagon pagonda view in the night time.

Excellent service but aging facility
Location is excellent. Breakfast was very nice as well.
7.7
Rooms are not well-maintained, but this remains a decent value for Yangon. Just to the east of the hotel, there are coffee shops and a nice bubble tea shop. Access to downtown and the Shawa Dagon pagoda is quick and easy.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The bell boys are willing and adept at negotiating with taxis.

A very pleasant surprise!
Excellent location, very friendly helpful staff, comfortable room, and good buffet breakfast
9.7
i managed to get a room at the hotel during the busy christmas period and because of the availability i didn't have high expectations, however i was very pleasantly surprised. firstly the location was excellent - the bogyoke aung san market is a 10 minute walk away and the hotel probably has some of the best views of the shewedagon paya, particularly from the roof terrace. the staff were very friendly and helpful. very good buffet breakfast and we were automatically given a packed breakfast on the last day as our flight was early in the morning. our room on the 12th floor was very comfortable - hot water for showers and baths (but the plumbing could be improved). noise/music from the city centre can be an issue at weekends.
Shopping Tip:
Myanmar is fastly changing. Whereas some of the money changers will insist on only taking new US dollars with no marks or creases there are some ATMs which accept foreign credit cards. Get a visa before arriving in Myanmar.

Not a good bargain
the position and the kindness of the staff
4.3
The first night, the sheet were dirty and torn. The second night they changed them with clean sheets.
The bathroom was dirty and uncomfortable. Breakfast was acceptable.
The hotel is located in a nice area, the staff is really kind.
There is a nice terrace on the last floor, where you can drink something admiring the landscape and the Shwedaggon pagoda.
