expensive airport pickup, pool was busy with swimming lessons, noisy if room near generator or swimming pool this was the second hotel we've stayed at in Yangon and it was an overall good experience. our room was on the top floor which was good because there was a lot of noise coming from the ground, from either the generator (which comes on every hour or so) and wedding receptions at night. the restaurants were fine and the room was nice with lots of character and a great view. the airport pickup through the hotel cost US$30 and a taxi going back was $3. But overall this was a good stay for us.
Restaurant Tip : hotel food was same price as many of the nearby restaurants.

Beautiful view of the Pagoda, wonderful Chinese restaurant, and smart rooms. We stayed here two times on a recent visit to Myanmar. The hotel was nicely located near the lake and the rooms recently updated. The staff was very attentive. The Chinese restaurant on the ground floor had the best chinese food I have had outside of Taiwan/PRC. The only issue we encountered was that the cashier would not accept some of our US dollars because they were not "new" but a resort in Bagan, Myanmar was happy to accept them...

Nice choice of restaurants. Smooth check in. Cleanliness. Water in swimming pool didn't look clean. We were disappointed that most of our U.S.dollars were deemed not "clean" and not usable. Travel tip : Very close to the Swedegon Pagoda
