friendly staff, clean, great sushi, good happy hour deal, fabulous location

none from this trip - sometimes it can be difficult to find a good deal but agoda helps

one of the best locations in town as it is walkable distance from major markets and pagodas. Also has great neighborhoods and restaurants in the area behind the hotel. most reliable and comfortable stay for a trip to yangoon

Restaurant Tip : great sushi in Asian bar inside hotel and fabulous local shops behind the hotel...

Good location, spacious room, well trained staff

Ant in the toilet, noisy neiborhood

I got upgraded to junior suite for free upon my return stay with Parkroyal Yangon - very spacious and luxury room! The only disappointment is that I found ants at the sink. The other concern is that the rooms facing the Aungsan Stadium are a bit noisy due to the loudspeaker broadcast (starting from 6am to 10am in the morning...)

Great location, very professional staff fluent in English, prompt attendance to requests - reflecting the international franchise' expertise

The room for my 1st stay has problems accessing wi-fi. But the staff courteously invited to use the Orchid Club wi-fi free of charge. The room for my 2nd stay has ants climbing in and out of the sink in the bathroom.

Very nice hotel considering the overall development of the Yangon city itself - staying at Parkroyal Yangon feels the same as staying at any international hotel in more advanced cities. The location is great with walking distance to Sule Paya and only a short taxi ride to Shwedagon Paya. The staff all speak very fluent English and are willing to help. Very quick attandence to requests. One of the few downside is that room for my 2nd stay has ants going in and out of the bathroom sink. But the staff upgraded me from Deluxe to this Junior Suite for free so I can't complain.

Great location short walk from downtown. Nice rooms and lobby. Friendly staff.

The neighborhood outside the hotel feels run-down, but that's actually typical for Yangon.

I've stayed 2 times and have been happy both of them. The location is very good, just a short walk from downtown and the Bogyoke Aung San market. Buffet breakfast includes western, Chinese, Burmese, and Indian food. There's also a Japanese restaurant with buffet dinner.

Friendly staff and efficient service.Good value for money. Centrally located and a convenient shopping Mall next door. Walking distance to Scotts Market, Traders Hotel and other hotels for variety of restaurents. Taxis available at all times of the day/night. Good live band at the Music Club, the Basement pub.

Wanted to try the The Japanese food, but the Restaurent under renovation. No other negative points.

It was a pleasant stay at the hotel. The Hotel is maintained well, most of the staff could speak english and were very helpful. Good breakfast at the restaurent and variety of food available within the hotel. Very convenient location.Nothing to complain about the hotel. The only complaint will be that the minibar rates for drinks etc...is exorbitant and could be made reasonable. However, next door shopping mall is convenient place for you to bring your own drinks for consumption. Good hotel and value for money and will recommend to anyone to stay.

Shopping Tip : A reasonably good shopping mall next door is convenient for any items that you forgot to bring it along.

The room are clean and the service is good and prompt. The lobby bar high tea is good.

The morning breakfast does not open on time at 6am when I need to eat and leave by 6.30am. Bad coffee.

The head waiter in the coffee house was very considerate, when I told I will not like to spend us15 for the dinner buffet, when I cannot eat alot. I don't like the ala carte menu either, so he told me to choose one dish, I choose hot pot with vege and some noodle, that was good, and he charge me half price with fresh fruit as a complement.

for the level of service and facilities the price was very good. The international buffet was truly just that. The location was good for the city

Pool amenities were a little lacking. Shower leaked on the floor

The personnel in the hotel were veury pleasant and helpful. There was enough varitey of food to suit most people regardless from where they came. There were tour arrangements available within the hotel, and those people were very accommodating. the night time entertainment in the club was of a very good quality. The facilities themselves were modern enough that one from more developed countries could be quite comfortable. The price per day was about 1/2 the going rate for comparable services in other similar hotels. we enjoyed our short stay there.

Nightlife Tip : The club in the hotel seemed to be quite popular, and the entertainment was good.

Good location..central and only 6 mins walk from famous Scott Market. Staff really friendly. Lovely modern bedrooms. Lovely pool.

Can be noisy at night from the nightclub in the basement. Loud bass till about 1.15 am.

I liked the location of the hotel as you can stroll outside and explore the city on foot without needing a taxi...especially the Scott market which is a must-see.It is only a short stroll away. There are all-day snacks available which is really useful if you want a light lunch. Disappointed about the evening music noise though. If you enjoy clubbing it would be great but otherwise irritating.

Shopping Tip : Scott market only about a 6 minute walk away.

Good Location

Rooms are abit old but acceptable standard

The hotel is basically in the middle of the city. You can take a walk towards the city and explore the town area and the Bogyoke Market which has many interesting art and handicraft items. Going to the popular tourist site like the Shwedagon Pagoda and Kandawgyi Lake is 5 mins by taxi.

Warming, kind and helpful nature of all staffs

Needs thourough cleaning of whole building

This was our first time in hotel of Rgn. What we appreciated a lot is warm & kind nature of all staffs. They are always helpful and accommodating to whatever issues we had. Buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner, all meals have very reasonable quality & price. We are hoping to return to this hotel whenever we go back to Rgn.

The Breakfast is exceptional and the staff is very pleasant.

Some of the hotel rooms could be freshened up in decor. Very nice and comfortable and the staff is exceptional. More TV options would be good.

The hotel staff is very hospitable and helpful. The breakfast buffet is international and very good. It is a good price when included in the room. The evening and noon meals with the various international resturants are exceptional.\nThe business staff for checking email has good experise and all of them are very helpful. The linens in the room are clean and fresh. I used the laundry service and it was clean and fresh.

Shopping Tip : The market is only a short walk away.

Location is great, walking distance to central core of city and the Scott's market. Pleasant rooms.

For such a large hotel, the lobby facilities are scarce. They are however renovating which might add some bar/restaurant options.

The hotel staff are gracious and helpful. Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Standard decor, nothing special but nice enough. The pool lacks character if that is important for guests. Located centrally makes hiring taxis, with help of hotel staff, quick and easy.

Restaurant Tip : Stick to Asian cuisine. Lonely Planet guide overstates Yangon as a foodie "find." Le Planteur, a french eaterie, is gorgeous architecturally and worth a look-see for it's colonial renovations. The food is terribly overpriced and well below average. This is often the case for expat restaurants in SE Asia. Try the Chinese restaurant in the Grand Mee Ya Hta executive residence/hotel, excellent food, value for money, A/C and good service! Don't miss art only! It's filled with fabulous Burmese antiques and more treasures. Huge and worth the visit!

Great location, very good evening buffet and very courteous staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Just a nice size

No negatives

It was my first time at this hotel. The hotel is clean, neat and very friendly. The breakfast is excellent and the dinner buffet is top notch. The staff were very helpful in answering questions about Yangon. The shops inside the hotel have good merchandise at good prices. I travel a lot so when I find a good hotel I try and stay there as much as possible. I will be back again to this hotel.

Restaurant Tip : The restaurant right across the street. Cafe 365 has good food at good prices. Don't miss the very large market just 5 minute walk away.
