Quiet location
nice pool area, quiet location but easy access to main attractions.

The hotel itself is a bit 'tired' but the warm an friendly staff more than compensate for this.
I had no problem with my room being ready for an early check-in and everything worked in the room. My very early check-out was fine with a wake-up call on time and a breakfast box waiting for me containing what I had asked for.
The pool area overlooks the lake and is a nice place to relax in the afternoon. The only drawback is that there is a membership scheme for the general public so it can get a bit busy late afternoon.
It is easy to get a taxi into town and the concierge will do this and agree the price.
Hotel prices have soared in Myanmar so to have a range of facilities is not cheap anywhere.

Old hotel but with lovely services

The hotel is old and also a bit far away from town but it is still in the Yangon area. it is very convenient to have taxi around for the sightseeing. Love the buffet breakfast and they also serve buffet Brunch and dinner for around per pax on Sunday. To me it is a little over priced for this kind of hotel condition

The Shwedagon Pagoda is worth visiting during evening time

Lovely hotel location but old fittings.
Peaceful, fresh air, nice breakfast, easy to get a taxi and very helpful smiling reception. Oh, free internet is so good this time!

Good for business travellers.
Location is right between downtown and international airport.
Breakfast has avariety,western, chinese or local.
It is located on the eastern bank of Inya Lake and thus, one can enjoy a nice view as well as fresh air while taking a walking excercise after the day full of business meetings.
Getting a taxi (both registered and private)is so easy too.
Enjoy staying there if you don't mind "old but genuine teak
fittings".
Travel tip:
As a business traveller all we need after a day full of events is to rest peacefully and get contacted with love ones at home via say, Skype viodeo call. This is a place free wifi works.

Good Old Hotel
Location in Yangon with beautiful landscaped gardens

Hotel is over fifty years old, and in fairly good condition.It's clean and has good attentive staff.But like most hotels of this age it needs upgrading.
Travel tip:
It does not deserve a four star category when comparing others in Yangon.

Decent Hotel , but needs a major renovations as the rooms and facilities are dated.There is a beautiful lake but no facility of boating from the Hotel. The place can be utilised for a variety of activities which is presently lacking.Swimming pool is good but quite far from the stay area.
The Hotel management needs to work on providing cycles, boats etc to improve on the activities as they have space but the facilities are lacking. On the whole a decent property.

it is an old hotel built in the 60's. its interiors were left as is, with very little upgrading and improvement. the whole place had a musty smell, like old wet carpet, kinda weird since there were no carpets in the whole hotel. overpriced for whatever it offered. majorly out of the way, and too far inroad to walk anywhere.
best part was the view of the lake, peacefulness of location and very kind and helpful staff.
