Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Beautiful lakeside setting
lovely views & gardens, friendly staff
8.7
"soviet built" sounded a bit bleak but the setting and many of the public rooms are delightful, and sunsets memorable. the two rooms in which we stayed (due to availability) were both comfortable and spacious, with large balconies: we enjoyed the different views. breakfast was an excellent buffet; we particularly enjoyed the local specialities which changed each day. other meals were reasonable: need to specify no msg. the staff were all friendly and helpful. will return.

Lovely hotel but bedrooms a little tired
7.7
A lovely hotel in a superb setting, convenient for the airport and central Yangon.
Bedrooms have all facilities and are large, but are a little tired and need a makeover.
Food and drinks which we had was fine and fairly priced.
The gardens and lake are great and worth a walk around.

size of the rooms were huge, i was given a lake facing room and watching the sunset there was amazing. we were here on a business trip and the organisation of the event turned out well for everyone. very professional, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable staff. when i returned, they greeted me by name, nice touch

You can take your time calmly.
But be careful of swimming pool, cos it's very deep as resort pool.
I think you can enjoy the mood.
Restaurant Tip:
Lopera Italian restaurant near hotel is great.

Very nice location in quiet neighborhood.
Too bad they do not have any rentals at the lake.
The rooms and the halls are kind of stuck in the vacuum of time.
The lift is horrifying to use.
Needs fast upgrade of the interior, as fast as they upgraded prices to very high level!!!!!
Nightlife Tip:
they have night club on the permises

great setting and nice quiet hotel

a very nice hotel located quite far north from the city center. perhaps not so shiny and modern but the setting by the lake is nice and peaceful plus there is an excellent Italian restaurant (called "l'Opera" I think) tucked away down a side road next to the hotel, overlooking the lake lit with Chinese lanterns etc. Good for a couple of nights but might be a bit too quiet beyond this.
Restaurant Tip:
Italian restaurant called "l'Opera" next door to hotel.

older hotel in beautiful location
6.3
built by the russians in the socialist days of the 1960's and not too much has changed since then!
rooms are squeezy and especially mine that had two queen beds in it - bizarre.
food in the dining room is okay but uninspiring.
the aspect around the lake is very pleasant and peaceful.
