Nice quiet location on Inya Lake, friendly staff, good sized rooms with Satelite TV.
15 mins out of Yangon. 3000 Kyat taxi fare each way, however that is only USD3....
The hotel is well priced, comfortable and staff very friendly. The rooms all have balconies with lake views or partial lake view. The breakfast is buffet style and caters mainly for asians however they will make you a Aussie/US breakfast if you ask.
The internet they have is very slow and is heavily censored, better to use an Internet Cafe in town where they can by pass some of the restrictions. Gmail is the prefered email client.
There is a disco called DJ's on the property with great music and also an SOS medical centre that is very good as I had use it!
All in all, very nice.
Hotel Feature Tip : SOS medical Centre attached to hotel. I needed some help and they were there to help.

Nice pool, very quiet, international TV programs (UBC).
breakfast and food ok but not special, rating (4 stars) cannot be compared to other countries, but it's still good value.
the location is exactly between the airport and city centre, but there is not much around in walking distance.

Location wonderful.
Peaceful.
Need taxi to get anywhere.
Bedrooms need updating.
This hotel has a world-class location that is wonderful. It is set in beautiful lawns on the edge of a lake. Each evening the sunset over the lake is utterly magical.
The dining room is lovely and the meals reasonably priced although alcohol is expensive.
Bedrooms are dated and condensation an issue. Also the balcony windows are poorly fitting and the occasional mosquito is a pain !
Travel tip : You must have a drink overlooking the lake at sunset...magical.

You can enjoy walking around the Inya lake. Or if u want to explore Myanmar's temple again; Kaba Aye Pagoda isn't too far. Quick access to airport too - but a bit far from Yangon's downtown.

If you want to stay in a lakeside hotel, I would recommend Kandawgyi Palace Hotel but not this one unless you don't mind to stay in a place a little bit far away from the downtown.

Hotel is older, but well maintained considering Myanmar's poor situation.
Restaurant Tip : More than average hotel quality
