Good size rooms
great view from huge windows
This is a large hotel and a bit faceless. Apart from that it is clean and we had a suite room which was huge with enormous windows and great views. Breakfast was fine but not exceptional. All in all nothing wrong with the place - just lacks a bit of character.

Fit for the Purpose
Close to work and the city centre. Good breakfast. Close to attractions. Quiet. Close to restaurants.
i stayed in this hotel for almost seven weeks while working near a unversity campus on pyai road. the rooms are large and adequate to do work in. they are equipped with a bar fridge and cable television (with hbo). staff are friendly and efficient in carrying out their duties. there are plenty of restaurants near by. the best is padonmar, roughly 15 minutes walk. there are also two shopping malls one tot the north and one tothe south, all of which have eateries. close to the hotel however are ykko, new doreen and a chinese restaurant so there is no problem of finding something to eat.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile
free wifi, good service, fast response to requests
Generally very good and location is close to the event that I was involved in. This is the place if you just need a place to stay and sleep after a long day. However it lacks facilities like a gym or spa or swimming pool (good if they could add these)

Clean rooms and nice staff
Clean and spacious rooms.
Very plesant stay. Nice and helpful staff. We used Panda as our base to travel to Kyatiho, the holy rock. Interesting journey out of town. We had to get on a crowded lorry that took us to a certain base and the had to cimb it. The hoe sun shone down causing to suffer sun burns.

Lovely nice hotel for business
small and charming place to stay
It was better this time due to improved management. The bathroom setting is still below the standard and some old toilet facilities should be replaced with the new ones.

good and reliable
Panda rates now at the same for similar category hotels in Yangon. Have stayed here numerous times and would repeat even if rates increased again. What was largely the domain of business travellers (PRC mostly) some tour groups have appeared. They seem kind of out of place in the non-descript and dated Panda, especially that its location from points of interest is a bit beyond their mid-aged, overweight and out-of-shape walking capabilities. A good thing about this Hotel is that it is kept up with fresh-paint, an improved breakfast and is clean, with spacious rooms. Management seems to care. Negative thing is Chinese clientele who act like they're in a dormitory with room doors open, going in and out of others at all hours, talking loud, and of course smoking everywhere.

Big Room but not lovely
Location is OK
It should grade as motel not hotel. Sorry No selling point for this hotel. Over price for the stay. The hotel is not up to international standard with no customer service. Not recommend for other travelers.

OK hotel and good service
quiet area compared to downtown
As usual with Yangon all the hotels are often booked up and/or over priced. The Panda hotel was mid range but the room I was in was very large with good views of the city and river. The room had a separate living area and bedroom so I really had no complaints at all regarding comfort. You will normally need to grab a taxi from the hotel to reach the city center or other sights unless you are feeling athletic or in need of a 30 minute walk (and a few dodgy road crossings). Staff were also very friendly and spoke good English.
