Clean and good hotel

suite room is value for money and spacious room
7.3
We were not disappointed with the space of the room and cleanliness. It is worth paying for a suite room rather than a standard or deluxe. The hotel staff speak english and are helpful. The internet is not reliable and we are told this is the situation any where in Myanmar. The breakfast (Asian style)) and food at the hotel restaurant is adequate and up to expectation. This hotel is good value for money.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Taxis are not air conditioned and cost about 2000 kyatt within town area.

very helpful and friendly staffs indeed clean

good serice staff easy to get taxi
9
hotel is a distance from but canwalk or get taxi easy . No problems at all
Travel tip: walking is the best way to go and take taxi back to hotel later charging only 2000 kyats about 2-3 $ US

Cheap hotel, though not particularly central

Large rooms, good buffet breakfast

The Panda Hotel is a good value hotel, though it is probably in need of refurbishment (a bit like Yangon itself). There is a smoky smell, particularly near the lift.
Restaurant Tip: Really liked the restaurant on the Shwedagon Paya side of Kandawqyi Lake, called Garden Bistro.

Good value

Clean and nice staff

it's comfortable for excheang money and internet service at the lobby. However, it's located far form town, you have to walk about 1 km to shop and resterance.
Hotel Feature Tip: ask for taxi to airport and breakfast when you have to leave in early morning, they will give you a togo box meal. The exchance rate was not bad.

Old but fair hotel

staffs are nice, near shopping mall
6.7
a hotel near 2 shopping mall in walking distance of 10mins, down town to ricer side around 15mins. hotel is a bit old but spacious for solo traveler. breakfast is acceptable with porridge & american breakfast. pillow & mattress is very hard & may sprang your neck. hotel staff may offer to bring you for site seeing & ground tour which is around kyat a day. difficult to find a travel agency as most dont speak english well apart from the tourist attraction site & high class restaurant. the myanmar government charge you almost everything including entrance, camera, parks, pagoda usd5 mostly. money exchange rate in hotel is 5% lower than other hotel such as royal paradise, 1usd for kyat. royal paradise also has a karaoke & disco which are more presentable compare with others such as tang gi ge road.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Things are expensive compare with the average per capita income of Kyat a month. A bowl of noodle cost about )You may find some free lance pick up asking you for kyat. Shwegadon Pagoda is a must to visit around 4pm to catch the sunset view & 5am to catch the dawn view for photography. Spend about 3-4 hours in the evening to enjoy the peaceful & spectacular view around the 4 Pagoda's gates. Texi is about 30 to 40 years model, some without door panel & if you are lucky you may find a few with air condition. Choose for Taxi with a "Fire" logo sign representing powered by "Gas" instead of petrol which may cost you 1000 Kyat for a shirt distance of 1 to 2km & 1500 Kyat for 2 to 3 km.

Service welcoming hotel

waiter happy smile、the large room
9
i stayed in the hotel for one night only. however, the waiter from the heart smile and greeting to me carefully left a good impression. asian-style breakfast, one the older gentleman carefully pointing. prospects will be very eager to tell you to go around the taxi fare. to northeast-oriented high-level room can see the big urn.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Some distance from the Shwedagon Pagoda, walk takes about 1 hour. To the city center is only half an hour.

Pleasant

Large 2-room suite, comfortable location a bit outside of the center
8.7
usd 10 taxi ride from the airport. multi-story building - i ended up on the 11th floor with a pleasant view over the town and river (avoid looking at the detail tho.) not too far to walk to town. convenience store right across the street (which seem to be a bit rare in yangon.) quite a pleasing euro-asian buffet for breakfast. thot it was a bit cheeky when they would not give the breakfast that i would have no time to eat on the day of departure (04:00) to my travelmate who arrived at 09:00 for my final day.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: A short walk to the Shwedagan Pagoda. Took a stroll by at night and it was magnificent.

Clean and value for money

Friendly and helping staffs
8.7
Panda Hotel is located in a quiet and fresh location. With 2000K (USD3) if Taxi fares to reach the heart of the city. The hotel serve tasty breakfast. The room is big and tidy.

Comfortable rooms and pleasant hotel

Reception staff are helpful and the room was spacious and comfortable. it was equipped with a kettle but no tea or coffee sachets
7.7
I was happy with the hotel - the rooms and general ambience are good. it is also well located to get to Shewedagon paya (temple) and also to the commercial centre around Sule paya - each is about 20 minutes walk away. The hotel restaurant does not really cater for single diners or for Europeans. The breakfast is fine (but don't expect what you would expect in any European oriented location); dinner is all Chinese and there were only two meals 'for one'. They will not give 'small' portions even of rice. It is expected that two or more people will be dining and order a dish each to share.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Have small dollar notes available for payment of entrance fees (which are charged for everything) but $100 notes for changing with the money changers (there are no huts or anything for the moneychangers - they are out and about on the street. Be careful when changing money - local notes 'disappeared' between me counting it carefully in the hands of the moneychanger and what I had in my hand after the transaction was complete. Wear very comfortable shoes and walk everywhere - it is a good way to get familar with the city and all the major attractions are within walking distance
