Great size rooms. cleanilness and general standard of service. very quiet. Location is a bit far from the city centre or other hotels, resturants and attractions. I enjoyed my stay at the Panda Hotel it is a good cheap option if you don’t mind peace and quiet and taking taxis into busier districts like the down town area. The rooms are very clean, large with good firm beds and great sunlight/ nice views of the city. It is located a bit out of town but it is much nicer than hotels located in the down town area for the same price so you can afford to get taxis to get about. You can walk into town about 30 minutes, Chinatown 10mins and the National Museum/ peoples park 15mins but with the monsoon or general heat and humidity this can get a bit uncomfortable.
The food wasn’t terrible they try hard and offer a wide selection but it’s pretty basic and badly presented but that’s what you would expect with the price. The staff our very helpful and speak good English and Chinese. I felt it was also safe travelling alone as a Woman and it’s a great budget option if you don’t mind being out of town a bit.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : walk to the peoples park from there its very well maintained and peaceful.
